Rating: Summary: Sometimes people just don't want to face the truth. Review: After getting a call from Kegan, a planet that prefers to have nothing to do with the rest of the universe, the Council sends Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan to the planet to test a child who is thought to be Force-sensitive. The Council has also sent Adi and her padawan, Siri, to go with them. Adi is very cautious and does not agree with some of Qui-Gon's methods while Siri throws the fact that Obi-Wan once chose to leave the order in his face repeatedly. When they arrive at the planet they find that they really aren't as welcome as they thought. The planet has a democratic government and the people don't act like anything is wrong but they never really have a say in things that really matter. And when they go to talk to the parents of Lana, the Force-sensitive child, they find the out that Lana has been taken. Obi-Wan and Siri wander off by themselves and are taken to a school where freedom of speech is not allowed, and friendship is frowned upon. And when they try to tell the other kids the truth about the galaxy they find that nobody wants to believe it, that the people are happy living with lies, even if it costs others their lives. This book was really great and Qui-Gon's vision at the end was a nice touch. Both Star Wars Jedi Apprentice fans and even regular Star Wars fans will love this book.
Rating: Summary: The Fight For Truth Review: Obi Wan and his new partner, Siri, find themselves with their Jedi Masters Qui Gon and Ada Galliah, in their latest and most questionable mission. They need to check out a baby on this planet they have just entered, and they must see if the baby is Force sensitive. But the people's strange hospitality and their fixed smiles disturb the two Masters. While Obi Wan and Siri try to gain each other's friendship, they are in an even more terrifying position -- they have been placed in a school in which discipline rules with an iron fist and every wrong action commited by a student, whether it be talk out of permission or oppose an answer -- is recorded. Obi Wan and Siri need to get out , but they also need to help a friend in danger. All the while, a dark thought -- or prophecy -- is kept secret. It will change everything...and whatever happens, Qui Gonn and Ada Gallia need to fight for the truth and bring this planet to a peace it doesn't recognize. A great addition the Jedi Apprentice series, The Fight For Truth was very intriguing and had a cryptic message brought out in it that made it very different from other books. It's a masterpiece to the series, and it is very enjoyable at that.
Rating: Summary: Cool!!! Review: Jude has done it again! This is probably my favorite book! I was always wondering how Obi-Wan and Siri would get out of that all-school detention area, or how Qui-Gon and Adi would finally get to talk freely with V-Nen and O-Melie. Anyway, it was my favorite of all the books and cant wait for the next ones to come. Hopefully they will all be as good as this! I would recommend any of these series to anyone.
Rating: Summary: Fight for TRUTH and fight for FREEDOM! Review: YES this was defenatly a wonderful book! It doesn't have as much adventure as the others, but it has an extreme amount of new charectors, great lines, and some weird forshadowing. I think it's neat that Jude has some forshadowing in her books. I beleive that this is one of the best, but then arn't they all! I know some people didn't like the lack of adventure, and one person said there wasn't enough plot, but it's a great book in MY oppinion!
Rating: Summary: Cincinnati Kid returns Review: I really liked this book because it has a lot of action and both good and new characters. I was disappointed that there were no light-sabre duels in the book. Besides that, the book is like Episode One and has new cities, which makes it interesting! I think you will enjoy this book.
Rating: Summary: WOW! Review: This one is one of the best! If you like Jedi Apprentice books don't wait, get this book soon! It was very, very, very, hard to put down!
Rating: Summary: I loved The Fight for Truth! Review: This book was great! The only thing that surprises me is that Siri was chosen as a padawan (I mean, to be quite honest, she's a brat. She can't keep her stupid mouth shut!). But anyway, this book was just as good as the others, but I have to agree, it would have been better if Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon were together more. And I like the little hint about Ben Kenobi and Darth Vader (Anakin, of course). Once again, this book was awsome and I can't wait for the next one!
Rating: Summary: Interesting Review: Jude Watosn continues to impress me with his abitlity to sweep you up in his world, and his colorful writing. My compliments to himI have to admitt, that it is not the best JA ever published. The plot just gets complicated and very interesting, when it is wrapped up. I thought it would have been better it it was legthened, like the Melida/Daan scenario. However, the story WAS a page turner. WARNING: The ending is CHILLING!
Rating: Summary: COOL BABY!!!!! Review: This is an exellent book and i really hope Watson does not stop and that Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon don't lose their touch. The Master/Padawan relationship gets stronger and i like the way they put the other Jedi in as well. I recommend that u read this book. DON'T STOP WATSON!!!!
Rating: Summary: Not the best, but still awesome. Review: While Number 9 wasn't the best or most exciting book of the Jedi Apprentice Series, it was full of interesting things too. Even though Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon weren't together for much of the book, the addition of Adi Gallia and Siri was nice. And then there was those foreshadowings of the Empire. Very chilling. Masked Soldiers, a weapon able to destroy a planet, a central evil controlling the whole universe, and a darkness that surrounds the Jedi. And Qui-Gon sees a vision of Obi-Wan living alone on a desolute planet. Very interesting. Although there was no bad guy in this story. Not really, anyway. But I guess it's possible that it is leading up to something. As I said, not the best, but it was an interesting addition to the Jedi Apprentice series.
