Review: In the first few paragraphs the siblings are introduced ( Peter Susan Edmund and Lucy). Edmund is an obnoxious jerk. Lucy is a believer. She is also the one who discovers Narnia (the land beyond the wardrobe) Peter and Susan don't play a huge role in this book, but they're there the whole time. Then there's the White Witch who has a cruel and twisted mind. She tries to fool people into believing that she is a good person. She considers herself queen of Narnia and the rest don't believe that, they just go along with it because she is evil tp the core and as powerful as a dictator ( a deadly combination). She has the power of turning almost anything into stone with 1 exception... Aslan. Aslan is the true king of Narnia, he is way too strong, couragous, and powerful for her to even compare to.
It all starts when the have to move to a mansion with a tutor. They start exploring and Lucy findsthe wardrobe, walks in, and finds Narnia. She gets her siblings to come to the wonderful country and her brother, Edmund, meets the White Witch. He falls into her plat to kill his brothers and sisters, but he doesn't know she going to kill them... much less himself.. He tries to help her because he thinks she's a good person. He doesn't see the man (or woman in this case) behind the mask. The only person who can save the kids from the Witch's evil plan is Aslan, but he's been away from Narnia for years.
I think the moral is you should alwqays think before you except an offer from some one you ardly even know.

Summary: A Book of Adventure!
Review: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe was a very good book. I really love this book and highly recommend it to any readers who seek adventure, for it is full of it. Four children; Peter, Susan, Edmond, and Lucy, are staying with a professor in England. The youngest sister, Lucy, who is not much thought of by Edmond, finds a fantastic world through the back of a wardrobe. This fantastic and wonderful world is called Narnia. Spreading the news of her find to her siblings is not very easy. They are finally convinced when they stumble upon Narnia themselves. Their adventure continues as they find themselves fighting battles and working together to conquer evil. This story is an allegory of Jesus dying on the cross and defeating the enemy.

Summary: Astonishing Lion,Witch and Wardorbe
Review: Death was corrupting too many in Narnia in the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, a wonderful place in which four curious children found one day after getting sent from England because of the air-raids. Little did Narina know that four children would break a empowering curse which would create Spring. Flowers would spring for the first time for many years, because the dread of winter would be no more and Narinia fulfilled its destiny of the two queens and two kings ruling this realm at a very stunning age.
This book is to the top with magical objects and supernatural creatures. Creatures that is as mystical as a half goat and half human. C.S. Lewis is such a brilliant writer; so descriptive at times but not over describing at all. The book made me think about the hard times in which the scariest thing might just be the best no matter what. For example this book is so suspenseful at times because the children lose their feelings of hope at one point in the book but soon regain it to try to save a few significant characters. At times this book can get really slow but don't let that stop you from reading it because over all I would give this book an A.

Summary: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
Review: This book is about a girl named Lucy and her 3 siblings named Peter, Susan, and Edmund. They have to go live with a relative that they call the "Professor." On day they decide to play hide and go seek. Lucy runs to a closet and there she meets a kind faun named Mr. Tumnus in a really cold wintery place. Lucy returns to her brothers and sister and tries to convince them of what she saw. Lucy and her siblings have now entered the land of Narnia where the evil White Witch lives who dislikes children and it always trying to capture them. At the end of the book, there is a big battle between the witch's evil side and Aslan's (the lion) good side. Aslan's courage and loyalty to the children and people in Narnia brings Spring to their land. This is the best fantasy I have ever read because it keeps the reader always involved. It is really hard to put this book down. Although this story seems complicated and hard to follow, it is fast moving and always keeps the reader in suspense. I loved reading this book and recommend it for both girls and boys. I know this one will be on your top ten list.

Summary: And the Children Shall Lead
Review: The first in the Chronicles of Narnia to be published (although second in Narnian chronology), LWW is the best known of the septet. Here, we are introduced to the four children, who have been sent to the country for safety during WWII. There, they experience a magical escape into a simpler world, where good things befall those who are themselves good. That is probably the central message of these religiously-toned books. The most obvious religious metaphor in this particular volume is the sacrifice and resurrection of Aslan/Christ, but other religious metaphors abound. In addition to the religious element, we have here a pretty good story (if quite pat and convenient at times, but it does after all say on the inside cover 'A Story For Children'). And it is a great book for children, even if not read as a metaphor for Christianity. Lewis has a wonderful way of presenting his asides in particular in a fashion children will find comforting and be able to relate to. These books may also encourage children to be idealistic, and not just accept our world as it is. Rather, Lewis encourages children to have the courage to initially question (like Susan), gradually believe in (like Lucy), and ultimately fight for (like Peter) a world in which, to give but two examples from the book, it is alright to cry, and those who repent (like Edmund) will be forgiven.

Summary: Better than The Magician's Nephew, but not much
Review: I liked this book a little better than The Magician's Nephew, but it suffers from much the same problem, namely that the protagonists in the story, the children, are little more than observers. They're either lead or they wander from one place to another, doing little of significance other than being tricked, leaving the actions that drive the plot to the other characters in the story. For a young reader, a simple story such as this may hold their interest, but I'd rather read a story like Harry Potter or The Hobbit.

Summary: Top Ten Best Books EVER!
Review: I read this book for the first time in second grade. I loved it so much, I read the rest of the series. I own the books now, in Hardcover. I continue to reread them every couple of years. They are outstanding! Even in second grade, I understood the Christian undertones of the book and I think it is wonderful! Even for those who do not believe in the Christian Faith, there are moral lessons for good living. I have started to read them to my children, as well. These are classic and timeless. CS Lewis is one of the best authors of all time. Even years later, I can't put them down! Bravo!
