Summary: Hmmm.. Fantasy/Romance by numbers.. Pass
Review: I read this book many years ago as a child and loved it. Reading again as an adult however has highlighted the single dimensional characters and the weak plot. I guess if the idea of a Sword and Sorcery Harlequin novel appeals to you then it may be worthwhile. Ann McCaffery reccomends this series, no more needs to be said.

Review: I first picked up this book in an airport bookstore. I barely noticed the trans-atlantic flight, so easily did the pages turn. I have since read everything by Melanie Rawn I could get my hands on, and while all are excellent, none were quite of this calibre. The characters are so well written I found myself coaching them out loud, and have even, on occasion, embarassed myself by trying to touch sunlight. Sigh.... If only my life were a Melanie Rawn book!

Review: Not since the Master J.R.R. Tolkien and Terry Brooks has there been someone who can weave a world that is so believable. SUNRUNNERS AND DRAGONS! I could not put this book down! The details and intricacy of the words inside the book .Melanie Rawn's details of her imaginary world makes you taste the salt from your sweat while in the deserts, hear the flapping of a dragon's wings ,feel the emotions of the characters, and of course know the feeling of sunrunning. What is beauty-Sioned. What is strength-Sioned. What is LOVE & ROMANCE! Rohan & Sioned! This book is sooooo incredible I had recommended it to so many people and there was not one dissatisfied reader! Melanie Rawn I tip my hat to you and appreciate your originality! Keep it going! Sioned is WATCHING!

Review: This was one of the best fantasy books I have ever read. I must say, I have read quite a few fantasy books! Melanie Rawn intertwines the characters and plots beautifly, with the hot-headed Andrade, and the villian Roestra. Before this, I read pretty much whatever book I could get my hands on. After reading this, I am hooked on Science-Fiction/Fantasy. Thank you Ms. Rawn!

Summary: Don't Judge a Book by its Cover
Review: I didn't buy Dragon Prince because of its beautifully illistrated cover, probably because I'm a sure believer in that old maxism, you know the one. I bought it to try out a new fantasy author, Melanie Rawn. At first glance Dragon Prince was a great book, what with its realistic lustful characters and promising plot. But as I read on I became sickened with its melodramatic moments and half-witted humor. I was also greatly annoyed by its small setting, I mean come on, a world rougly the size of Texas! With their Texan sized setting the characters scuttled across their lilliputian world in literally days. Along with this, Dragon Prince produces a very predictable plot and an incredibly lame baddie named Roelstra, who is over weight and over the hill. Anyway after disposing of his tubby nemesis, little Prince Rohan saves the day and he and his sunrunner witch Sioned live happily ever after

Review: I admit that the reason I picked up this book was the beautiful cover painting by Michael Whelan, but once I started to read I couldn't put it down. It had everything I look for in a fantasy....princes...some very neat magick...and of course dragons

Review: RAWN IS A GREAT WORLD BUILDER. DRAGON PRINCE IS PROBABLY THE BEST FIRST NOVEL OF A FANTASY SAGA, I'VE EVER READ. RAWN THRUST YOU INTO A MEDIEVAL DESERT WORLD FILLED WITH WARRING PRINCES, DEADLY INTRIGUES, MAGIC, DRAGONS AND ROMANCE. YOU WILL ALMOST FEEL LIKE YOU ARE THERE BATTLING WITH PRINCE ROHAN AGAINST THE EVIL HIGH PRINCE.

Summary: A great book full Sunruners, Dragons, Princes, and emotions!
Review: This book is a wonderfull work on a totaly new type of fantisy. Rawn leaves behind the mages and witches of the past to replace them with a new breed of people, Sunrunners. These mystical people are no difrent from anyone else, except that they have the ability to fly along the sunlight. They can weave the light of the suns and moons to see far off lands and and talk with other sunrunners, as well as call fire down at their command. This new breed of witches alowes fantisy lovers to part with the mages and learn a whole new magic, unlike any other. Rawn does an exceptional of making the charectures come to life in this book. She does such an excelent job of making them look and seem so real that one is quickly caught up in the intense plot of dragons, princes, and, sunrunners. This book will be hard to put down once you have started because you will need to know what happens to he people you will grow to know and love. Of the many books I have read, this is one of the only ones that has me crying right along with the charectures. The world Rawn builds is real, so rich and full, yet there are no lengthy descriptions. The way she writes alows you to truely become suprised with the turns in the story, very little can be guessed, like other books. This book and it's series are a one of a kind experiance not to be missed. I recomend this book to anyone who likes a book with deep feelings and emotions. It will make you jump for joy and cry along with the story. Gadi Golan
