Rating: Summary: Great ! Review: I LOVED this book! I read it in one setting - could not put it down. The heroine is not only full-grown; she is full figured as well, which is a refreshing change. Ms. Cast makes you wish AND feel that you were there.
Rating: Summary: Incredibly goofy, sweet, romantic book :) Review: I thoroughly enjoyed this Goddess by Mistake. Everytime I stopped to take a break from reading it, I'd have a smile on my face from the wacky writing of P.C. Cast. It's a lot like a romantic comedy. This is definitely a feel-good book!

Within hours she's on an entirely different world and is the High Priestest of a goddess off whome she had never heard. Oh, and her wedding is in a couple days, she's going to marry Centar!!Needless to say our Heroine soon comes to realize she's not going home. Not only that but there are strange humaniod bat like creates attacking everywhere and High Priestess its up to her to make a difference. I found this to be an enjoyable read worth the reading time. Rating: Summary: I was ready for a great read, but... Review: After reading the great reviews, I was ready for a great book. This was not a great book, a fun read, at times, but just another twist on the usual fantasy story line. I gave the book three stars because I thought the magical characters were unique.
Rating: Summary: Fantastic Read! Review: Go on a fun adventure with Shannon Parker, an English teacher who happens to resemble the picture of a Celtic goddess on an ancient vase she buys. Suddenly, the fun begins as Shannon finds she has switched places with a Celtic High Priestess. Finding herself attracted to a handsome centaur, the struggle to deal with a world where myths are reality is weighty once Shannon discovers that she is must lead the war against a vampiric race of demonic humanoids. You won't want to put it down!
Rating: Summary: One of the Best Reads of the Year Review: This book is wonderful, so wonderful in fact that I have read it several times and loved it more each time. There's romance, fantasy and intrigue, and I am simply blown away by Ms. Cast's talent. She created characters I fell in love with and a world I wanted to live in. And I have to add that I can only shake my head in disgust at the review that calls this book "published by mistake", a review that seems motivated by something other than a love of literature. For a fantastic read, buy this book. You won't be disappointed.
Rating: Summary: Definitely Not a Disappointment Review: I LOVE this book. At first I didn't think I would like it as much as Kiss of Shadows...I was quickly mistaken. The plot was well thought out. The events flowed nicely and consistently. The detail was phenomenal. I LOVE the touch of modern day in a mystical time. Those just seem unreal. P.C.'s mixtures of romance, horror, humor, suspense, fantasy, and the tinge of teasing sex was perfect. Thank you SO much for suggesting this book to me. Definitely DO NOT skip out on this one.
Rating: Summary: More fun than I expected Review: I admit I was a little leery of a story about a high school English teacher finding herself engaged to a centaur in a parallel universe, but I decided to give the book a try. Once I picked it up I could not put it down. I was up until one this morning finishing it. The characters are wonderfully vivid and three dimensional despite their mythical qualities. Shannon is hilarious as she tries to make the best of a weird situation, and the plot is exciting and quick moving. I will definitely buy the sequel to this one.
Rating: Summary: Good Entertainment Review: I just finished Goddess by Mistake and I thought it was terrific! The characters are enjoyable and Shannon seems quite genuine and very real in her struggle to adapt to a completely new world. This book has humor, sorrow, adventure, and romance and I liked it...It is not meant as a treatise on mythology and is a wonderful, entertaining book. I am keeping it on my personal best shelf and will happily buy other books by this author.
Rating: Summary: Good teacher. So-so goddess Review: "Goddess by Mistake" is really an R-rated romance with a fantasy overlay. The heroine, Shannon Parker is a high school English teacher who gets transferred to an alternate world where she is mistaken for the Voice of the Goddess Epona. She is forced into a ritual marriage with the centaur, ClanFintan (yes, a Celtic centaur) and together they set out to save their people from an immense horde of bat-winged vampire-demons who like to schlurp the blood of, and impregnate human women. (The scene where a woman gives birth to a vampire is a real gross-out.) Shannon-Rhiannon (S-R) is a feisty heroine and her interior monologues are wickedly amusing. My only problem with her is that she is constantly ogling her scantily-clad guardsmen and her centaur-husband, who is (according to S-R) hung like a--well, he is half horse. S-R spends way too much time dressing, undressing, taking baths, picking out jewelry, panting after various males, and riding, umm, bareback. Her character too often lapses into one-dimensional vaudeville: a sort of 'broad' Benny Hill patter-routine (leer, leer. Snort.) That one quibble aside, P.C. Cast writes like a dream and the school-teacher-turned-priestess's commentary on her new world is appealingly (and sometimes grossly) funny. There's not much of a plot in "Goddess by Mistake," but the zaftig dialogue will make you snort up your soda pop through your nose.
