Rating: Summary: AWSOM!!! Review: This book talks about Obi-Wan's struggle to be Qui Gon Jinn's Padawan apprentice and shows his training in the beggining and another kid trying to get him angry so he disobeys his Jedi codeand sometimes he is faced with anger. Its shows you the force getting stronger by the minute in parts and sometimes he impresses Qui Gon and sometimes he does not so Qui Gon is tempted to make him his Padawan Apprentice and it has alot of twists and action parts and i reccomend you purchase the second addition to "Jedi Apprentice" which is called "The Dark Rival" but you really have to read this one before that one. I defenetly reccomend it.
Rating: Summary: A book for Star Wars fans of all ages!!! Review: I had reservations buying this book at first but I am glad I did. I t was a very fasted paced story and a page turner as well. It was interesting to see how Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon hooked up.
Rating: Summary: WOW!!!! Review: Oh my gosh, I saw this book in the store one day and I knew I had to have it for my own. I read half of it in the car and finished when I got home. I even told my friends in the Starwars chats about it. They loved it. YOU MUST BUY THIS BOOK. I guarantee that you will not be dissapointed.
Rating: Summary: Forget the "adult" books -- read this! Review: I'm 27 years old and I *loved* this book. It has heart, humor, adventure, emotional entanglements -- all in all, a great read. Of particular note/interest to those who, like me, are enamored of the unusual Obi-Wan/Qui-Gon relationship. I'd rather read the Jedi Apprentice books than the adult SW fic being churned out, as they favor characterization and heart over space battles. Bravo!
Rating: Summary: This book is great!!!!!!!!! Review: I am a 33 year old sw fan,and bought the book for my youngest to read. I took a peek, and wound up keeping it for myself, reading it over and over. I like the novel's speed, vividness,simplicity, and the depth that it gives to new characters (Qui-Gon), as well as old characters (Obi-Wan). I also went right out and bought "The Dark Rival" for my son. I must say that I like Dave Wolverton's novel better. It seems to strike more of an emotional chord when it comes to the relationship between Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan. Can't wait to get the next book in the series -for my son, of course ;}
Rating: Summary: A great read. I couldn't put it down. Review: An excellent book. It shows the bond forming between Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon very well. It also shows Obi-Wan as a boy and his struggle to contain his anger and his fear. I recomend this book for all Star Wars fans.
Rating: Summary: Great book! Review: This book was great. Though the reading level wasn't difficult, (it wasn't intended to be), I still found it entertaining, and yes, even suspensful. I couldn't put it down, and I very nearly started crying at Obi-Wan's nickname, "Oafy-Wan." BUY THIS BOOK! YOU WON'T REGRET IT!
Rating: Summary: Great Book!!!!! =) Review: I would just like to say that this is a wonderful book, I couldn't put it down!! I read it all in less than one day! Every StarWars fan should read this book. It tells all about Obi-Wans past and a little about Qui-Gon's. Definetly buy this book!! Erin
Rating: Summary: Fun Book for All Star Wars Fans Review: This book is not just for kids. I was suprised how great this book is. Repeat do not be afraid that this book is ment for kids. You get to see how Obi-Wan starts his quest to become a Jedi Knight. The best part about this book is that it is FUN to read! You will not be able to put it down. Give it a try you won't be disopointed.
Rating: Summary: Not just for children Review: I readily admit that I am way beyond the age recommendation for this book -- and the other Jedi Apprentice books. BUT WHO CARES?! This is a wonderful read for everyone, actual children and those who are young at heart and love the Star Wars saga. The books bring the established relationship of The Phantom Menace between Obi Wan and Qui Gon into perspective when you look at the start of their time together, and makes the end of TPM all that more devestating. I look forward to the next installment of Jedi Apprentice and wish I could give it more than 5 stars.
