Rating: Summary: Absolutely Amazing! Review: Star Wars Jedi Apprentice The Rising Force, by Dave Wolverton, is about twelve year old Obi-Wan Kenobi and his adventure to Bandometer. In the beginning, Obi-Wan gets kicked (or transported) out of "the temple" and goes to Bandometer. I give this book two thumbs up! I recommend this book for (almost) anyone. I'm a 9-year-old Harry Potter fan. This even kept me away from reading Harry Potter!
Rating: Summary: Captivating... Review: I began reading this book to test my son's homework assignment, which was to read through the first chapter. I could not put the bookdown. This is a very entertaining and well thought out series. A must read for a Star Wars fan of any age! The story captures you in the first 5 pages. Within a four hour plane trip, I eagerly read through this book. And on the return trip, series 2 & 3 were equally fulfilling. I can't wait to get the remaining series.
Rating: Summary: Top hit...... Review: I just loved this book, it was such a well writen book. The start was great and so was the rest of the book. I have read all of the Jedi Apprentice books that are out and Jude Waton is also doing a great job too! I was disapointed when Qui-gon Jinn did not take Obi-wan Kenobi in this book. Read this book and the rest of the other books you will love them.
Rating: Summary: At last I can learn something about my favorite Jedi's past! Review: Hi all Star Wars fan's! Some time ago, i have read Jedi Appretince book 1#, and I just love it! With this book, I have a lot of action, adventure and fun. I think, that Jude Watson is a great adventure writer ( keep it up Jude! ). In this book (i meand 1# ) Qui-Gon is inaccesible for Obi-Wan, and he dont want let him to be his third student - :[ ( I know from the phantom menace, that he will change his mind )OH! What a relief! I think, that all "phantom menace" fans, will enjoyed this book, just like me. Especially, all guys and gals, who liked ( or loved mayby :) ) Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan. So, if you have 2 hrs. of free time ( I read it in 2hrs :[ , becouse I enjoyed it really serious and fast ), go to shop, and buy or order it! Really, even if you only like old Star Wars. Belive me. I will never forget these emotions, when I read it! ( Thank you Jude, you're the best! ) I just love Jedi Appretince, and i think, you will love this book too! I can't wait 2#, 3#, 4#, 5# and the rest! Let the force be with you all, forever, and especially with Jude Watson - Dont stop writing, and Never forget, we all count on you!
Rating: Summary: In a galaxy far,far away Review: This is a very good book. For all the people who want to know what happened to Obi-Wan before The Phantom Menace, you should read this. The characters are funny, and the plot is well done. My favorite character is Si Treemba. A very good book.
Rating: Summary: STAR WARS lovers book to read! Review: This book was very, very good. I think that it is a must read for young STAR WARS lovers like me. I am 14 and I've been reading and watching STAR WARS since I was 5. I've seen Episode 1 a number of times and my favorite character is the young Obi-Wan Kenobi. The only thing that I was upset with the movie about was that they didn't tell Obi-Wan's story from his early training years. When this Jedi Apprentice series came out I was so happy. I picked up the first book and read it until I fell asleep with it on my chest. Then I picked up the next book and I want to keep on going. I love these books and they are very informative on how Obi-Wan became the great Jedi Knight and General that he was before Episodes 4-6. This is a must read and I highly recommend it for young STAR WARS lovers and parents to read together.
Rating: Summary: not bad at all.... Review: For a children's novel, I found myself pleasantly surprised with this book. After Episode I I was anxious for any new stories from the prequel universe. It gives good insight into the history of Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon, but several parts, including the ending, were rather rushed and thus a bit disappointing. I also couldn't stand the font the text was in; after a while it became hard to read. But there was plenty of action, and overall a good read.
Rating: Summary: Simple, yet a masterpiece... Review: I know this is a book intended for children, but I am 19 and I enjoyed it more than a lot of other Star Wars books. The entire series is fantastic. I am now reading the fifth book, and every book is better than the last.
Rating: Summary: Thumbs up! Review: I read the Jedi Apprentice series to my younger siblings, and they just can't stand it when I don't read to them. They loved Si Treemba, and the part near the end when Qui-Gon flew on a Draigon! This book is very good. Star Wars fans, you'll love it! May the Force be with you!
Rating: Summary: The Best Star Wars Series Thus Far! Review: I originally bought this book right after seeing the new movie. My expectations weren't that great, but I was interested in anything that gave some background during the days of the old republic. Well, I ended up reading the WHOLE thing straight through and when I finished, I went out THAT SAME NIGHT to buy the next one! The whole story line of the book (and this whole series for the matter) is wonderful. I love all of the insights into the characters. The whole relationship between Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan is so endearing. You watch them grow from strangers to close friends. And Obi-Wan is so much more fun here than that old geezer we saw in the original movie! The wild ideas he comes up with to get back at the Hutts are soooo funny! I recommend this book to any Star Wars fans of all ages.
