Summary: Such a twisted tale
Review: James Lowder, the editor for Richard Awlinsons "The Avatar Trilogy", returns to the realms with his best outing (or so I think). The twisted story of Cyric, the man who would be a god continues. The Sewer rat made bad, continues to vie for power amidst the Fearunian Pantheon; but his schemes don't go unchecked. Mystra, Lady of Magic, and his old mortal friend fights him at every turn. Mr. Lowder does a marvelous job with the characters, especially Rhinda, the lowly scribe, and both of the major deities (Cyric and Mystra). I recommend this book whole heartedly. However, the characters in this book are dependant, to a degree I fear, on the foreknowledge gained in reading the Avater Series. I recommend you start there. But get them done so you can read this one!

Summary: Entertaining....
Review: Most authors focus on either the "talk" or the "action" when they write. What made this book work for me was the equal attention given to both and the seamless interaction of the two. The characters really come to life in your head, and you know what? The gods are weird, singleminded wackos!!! Hmmm. Sounds like an Oliver Stone flick....

Summary: Very entertaning and a continuation of a great trilogy!
Review: The best Forgotten Realms novel in print! James Lowder brought to life the different characters, showing Cyric's madness and Rinda's endurence. I gave this book to my friend as a way to get him to read the series and he has now started his own collection of Forgotten Realms novels. Also shows more into the lives of the gods. Loved it!

Summary: HAIL JAMES LOWDER!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: This is one of the best books I have ever read.
Review: This book rocks, I am a avid reader of the Forgotten Realms books, that is all I read. This book was a good book to be a sequel of the Avatar Trilogy. The god of intrigue, Mask, was a tool in this book. Especialy, when it is he who is Godsbane, protecting the lost soul of Kelemvor Lyonsbane. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes intrigue, deception and dispair.

Summary: Amazing follow up
Review: This is a great book, which finishes where the avatar trilogy leaves off. I could not imagine anyone who read the avatar tiliory not reading this book. This is one of the greatest reads i'd had in a while, Lowder does it again.

Summary: Warning Warning!! Just a reissue
Review: Though Cheaters of the Coast pretend this is a new book it isn't. It is exactly the same as the one which came out 10 years ago. Well, guys, you lost me, I'm returning it.
