Rating: Summary: Very nice and suspensful, and keeps you reading! Review: Very nice, suspensful, but it includes a few unecessary words. It still captures you mind!
Rating: Summary: A great book that every starwars fan should read. Review: This book was great. A.C. Crispin kept me in suspense and wanting to keep reading. The book holds a very complex plot of how han solo came to be and if you like starwars you will love this book.
Rating: Summary: Great Review: Wow, it's a Trekkie chick that can actually write a Star Wars book! This was great! Explains first Han's problem with religion in the movies, and his problem with women. Unlike some of the other Star Wars books, there are no credulity-straining characters or plot points. There was a reader who commented here with some very agist comments; take it somewhere else, buddy. Also, to the same reader, LucasArts is a video game subsidiary of LucasFilm. Sue Rostoni from LucasFilm approves the books, not video game people.
Rating: Summary: This was the best they could do? Review: Given that all the Star Wars novels fall into the "light reading" category, throughout this book I kept thinking "Han Solo's early life, and this is the best they could do?" Han Solo is obviously the most complex of the main Star Wars characters, so I guess I expected a little more from this series. I have read that the author was limited by LucasArts as to what she could and could not write about, but still... Note to anyone who reads this review: I am an adult (unlike most of the other reviewers, apparently) and I have actually read books not from the Star Wars series.
Rating: Summary: Great, fast-paced, fun, and intriguing! A great book! Review: I believe that is possibly one of the greatest Star Wars novels ever written! A.C. Crispin sure knows how to keep the readers interested and entertained the whole way through. This book allowed me to learn a lot about Han Solo's past, and how certain incidents describe how Han is how he is. A really great story. Same to Hutt Gambit and Rebel Dawn!
Rating: Summary: Exiting and Well Writen Review: Just great. Action and travel. It is exactly like Han Solo in the movies. I couldn`t put it down. Also their are 2 more to read. I have to read them.
Rating: Summary: A tremendous listen! Learn the early years of Han Solo... Review: This story grabs your attention right from the outset. From the very moment the listener is introduced to the character Han Solo, our favorite blaster-wielding pirate has already gotten himself into dire straits! In this story, author A.C. Crispin has successfully crafted the early-years biography of Han Solo. Reader David Pittu guides the listener through an action-packed chronology of Han's upbringing, his adolescent years, and the evolution of his penchant for the unethical. A must listen for diehard Star Wars fans.
Rating: Summary: Absolutly Fabulous Trilogy! Review: This was an absolutly fascinating read. I am a die hard Star Wars fan and i found myself smiling and crying throughout this book as things came together. Thank You Ann.
Rating: Summary: BEST OF THEM ALL! Review: I never thought SWs was very interesting. The movie was okay, but this was the best book I had ever read! I read it three times, and I still want to read it again. Han Solo was and is my favorite of all the charactors, and this book really explains things. A.C. is a great writer, and I hope to write something like that. If you like Han, you'll love this new trilogy!
Rating: Summary: Quite possible the best book I ever read. Review: This book dragged me into the Star Wars universe. Han Solo, the young child, stealing, and pick-pocketing to live. On the Back streets of Corellia, then to Ylesia, then to Coruscant, dodging bounty hunters, growing up to become the best Smuggler in the galaxy. This book makes me proud to be a Star Wars fan, I really like how A.C Crispin made the last book (Rebel Dawn) end right when Han and Chewie were sitting down at the Mos Eisley Spaceport Cantina. A.C. Crispin is truly one of the best Star Wars Authors in the Corellian Sector. May the Force be with you....Always
