Rating: Summary: A must have for Star Wars lovers Review: First of all I must say I enjoyed this book very much and look forward to the rest of the series. It lifts some of the mystery surrounding Han Solo and how he turned to a life of crime, as well as fills in the gaps between other writer's works and the movies. Though I felt more details of could have been incorporated into the story to keep the plot from jumping (probably much was edited to keep the book fast moving and within size restrictions). This is an excellent series especially if you have enjoyed the previous Star Wars novels and Dark Horse comics as it seamlessly incorporates the new characters other authors have created into Han's life so it reads more like an extension to those stories rather than a whole new story. I highly recommend this series for those junkies like me who just can't get enough of Star Wars. It is also so well written that those not familiar with the previous Star Wars novels will not feel as they are missing out. A.C. Crispin is the author of two of my favorite Star Trek books "Yesterday's Son" and "A Time for Yesterday" and in a sense got me into the Star Trek books and eventually into the Star Wars books. So "Pocket Books" and "Bantam Books" can thank her alone for my patronage
Rating: Summary: I loved it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Review: I really liked this book. It took me about a week to get through it, about one hour a day. I liked the way Crispin took the character of HAN SOLO and expanded on his early history. It was really good read. I am now reading the second book, THE HUTT GAMBIT. It is also looking very good
Rating: Summary: Good, not great, but good... Review: This book gave an excellent depiction of Han Solo in his early days and had some interesting characters, but didn't have that great of a plot. It was very fast paced, though, and definately captured the atmosphere of the movies. Hope her next one's as good! -Embe
Rating: Summary: Boring Review: It took me nearly a month to read "the Paradise Snare." I just kept putting it down. I love the "Star Wars" genre, and I have read--and enjoyed--most of the further adventures of the saga, but this book didn't "grab me" the way the other SW books have. I just think the book was too predictable, and the relationship story-line concerning Bria was dull.
Rating: Summary: ".....or I swear I'll cut your throat wide open....." Review: This is the best book that I have ever read. Interesting, exiting and you know he's not gonna get the girl. The characters were created perfect (Dewlanna, Muurgh,Shrike,+) Great book, Crispen!
Rating: Summary: EXCELLENT Book Review: I picked up Paradise Snare and could not put it down. If all Star Wars books are this great, I might as well read the WHOLE collection! Great job
Rating: Summary: Very interesting reading. . . GREAT! Review: I thought it was a good book. It took a little time for me to get into it, but after about 50 pages, I was hooked, I couldn't put it down. A.C. Crispin did good with Han's background and everything. I hoped for a little more backstory about Han's young life, but that's okay, Han Solo isn't Han Solo without the mystery about him. All in all, I thought was a great book and I can't wait till the second and third
Rating: Summary: Author's response to Paradise Snare reviews. Review: I enjoyed reading the (mostly) positive comments on my book. I worked really hard to get Han's character "right." I hope the Star Wars fans who posted here will also like THE HUTT GAMBIT and REBEL DAWN (due out in August and December)
Rating: Summary: A great book!! Review: A wonderfully well writen book that takes us back to before Han was a gallaxy renowned smuggler. This book show us a young Han trying to get into the Impirial Acadamy. A great book. BUY IT!
Rating: Summary: Can't Wait Review: I read this And got done with it on June 17 1997 and I can't wait until the next two in the trilogy are published it is an extremely good book
