Rating: Summary: A fulfilling beginning to a hero's life. Review: A wonderful start to the life of Han Solo, this book fills the void left by others. It begins with an explanation for his understanding of Wookiees and his smuggling background. I enjoyed it immensely, mostly because of the vibrant characters and human feelings which Ann works into the plot. Han is suprisingly moral, with the nievete of youth and dreams of being a pilot. The only criticizm I have for it is that it still leaves Han's lineage in question, something that I have often wondered about.
Rating: Summary: very good Review: a good display of Han Solo's character and his past.
Rating: Summary: Really great book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Review: This book is great! best book ive read and im only 10!very great romance between bria and han i cant wait till i read the last one.i read the hutt gambitt allready then io read paradise snare then im going to read rebel dawn!A.C. Crispen did her job and is one of the people i look up to
Rating: Summary: This is the best Star Wars book I have ever read. Review: I have just finished this book, and let me tell you, it feels like I have just read a trilogy. This book links to so many others such as Assault at Selonia and Diversity Alliance. A.C. Crispin's unique style of flashbacking really gives you a wide view of the young, swashbuckling Corellian's past. This is a great book and I recommend it to any Star Wars reader.
Rating: Summary: GREAT BOOK!!!!!!! Review: I absolutely loved this Star Wars book. I have always been interested in the Star Wars charaterization, and this book has it! I loved the way A.C Crispen took a almost "Oliver Twist" plot and changed it inot Han's life. I also loved how they depicted Han thinking about a younger Leia and Bail Organa as arrogant even before he got the chance to meet her. I also liked the romance between Han and Bria. All around this was a great book!
Rating: Summary: Wonderful story, enjoyable read! Review: A.C. Crispin has delivered SW fans a wonderful book! Easy to follow without becoming muddled with techno-jargon & forced congruencies with other books, comics, etc. Granted, it is not packed full of action, but it is a great story with good character development (including insight into how Han Solo became the adult he is in the films). I thought it was a very original story (none other like it in the SW universe, that I know of) that somehow managed to pack in references & foreshadowing that can make any SW fan grin. I really liked the entire escape from Ylesia scene, this was the best partof the book. I'm glad I didn't read it until now because now I don't have to wait/suffer so long for 'Rebel Dawn'. I am off this very minute to start 'The Hutt Gambit'...
Rating: Summary: very good.....for a woman. Review: This book is cleverly written and followed through without detracting from the main character. The main character remains true to what George Lucas intended and not a snivelling boob to a female, as some female authors tend to do to male characters.
Rating: Summary: More Han! Review: This book is the answer to many Star Wars fans' prayers! Everyone who loves Han has to be curious as to his background, and this trilogy, expounds on our rather limited knowledge of that period in the Star Wars history. I found the book extremely well-written, and even the "technical parts" (i.e., ship schematics and battles), which I normally skim over, were interesting and well thought out. I especially loved the added charcters of a younger Leia, Aryn, and Bornan; not to mention the setting of Alderran. A wonderful book, one of the most enjoyable of all the Star Wars legacy!
Rating: Summary: If you liked Star Wars You Must Read This Book!!!!!!! Review: If you always wondered where Han Solo came from then you must read this book. It gives,in great detail, where Han came from and how he became a smugler. In this book it tells about a wookie named dewlanna that was his best friend and how he entered the world of the hutts. It also tells about one of han's earlist loves and about how they don't end up. I don't want to spoil it for those who have not read this book. I have read a lot of star wars books but I think this is the best of all.
Rating: Summary: Best SW Book I've read! Review: I't was a awesome book good plot and theme once I started I couldn't put it down.. It was so sad when Bria left Han.. The only thing is I read the 2nd book the Hutt Gambit and I was only dissapointed in the very little coverage between han and Bria I hope rebel dawn will have followed up on their relationship.. overall the books were great Oh yeah the Rebel Dawn was supposed to be out in december right ?? but i checked the bookstores in Canada and they don't have it?? please send me info at my e-mail address.. thanx
