Summary: I was just expecting a better book!!
Review: The book had missing things about the jedi. Someone should've told Brooks more about the Star Wars & the force. Qui Gon didnt vanish like the other jedi ,Yoda & Obi Wan, when he died.I didnt like the idea of midi-chlorians either .The book was told by a narrator most of the times . I just prefer reading the characters conversation. It all seemed to me that the book was written in a hurry which made it look dull & sloppy

Summary: The Book was ok, But wish it was the Full Story.
Review: Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace was an ok book. Terry Brooks should made a few more hundred pages and give the full story. The only thing different between the book and the movie was the Tusken Raider and the Pod Race in the beganning of the book. There are a few extras but the problem with the book it was missing alot of parts. George Lucas asked Terry to write a book with the full story from the sript with many (A LOT) extra parts then the movie. Seriously I think Terry Brooks was a bit Lazy, and didn't think hard enough to had extra parts. The content of the book was great. It gave great detail, the only thing different from the movie was the Tusken Raider and Pod Race. I would suggets you to read the first couple of pages and think for yourself to buy it or not.

Summary: Excellent
Review: This book was excellent! It has lots of action and adventure in it that made it fun to read. The book was somewhat different than the movie because it gave more detail. I think that Patricia C. Wrede did a good job making a book out of George Lucas' screenplay. If you like action and adventure books, you should read this book. I recommend you read the book before you see the movie.

Summary: excellent reading, much better then the film.
Review: I found this book, interesting and kept my interest so much I hatted to put it down. It goes into detail with out loosing you from the story line. The book decribed the Jedi fight sence so well that I could actually picture them in my head, and that was before I saw the film. I recomend you read this as it fills in a few gaps about the Jedi past that helps you understand them better. In my opinion anyway!

Summary: The book gave answers to those unanswered movie questions
Review: I just wish I had read the book before I saw the movie the second time. I tried to fill in the blanks by viewing the movie the second time, but was still unable to complete the loop. The book does that quite nicely. It's still not fair to compare the original to Episode I. In the original, Obi-Wan said the Force is unexplainable, but it is explained in Episode I. Just one of those things that gets better with time.

Summary: This book adds to the enjoyment of seeing the movie...
Review: If you loved the movie, chances are good you'll love the book. (For those who hated the movie, why did you bother to read the book, too?!) The book adds a lot of fun details - including several scenes that were eventually cut from the movie for one reason or another. It also adds a lot of motivational information about the characters that you could never get just by watching the film. I wouldn't say it's a "must-read", but it's worth reading just for the fun of it in your spare time. :)

Summary: Better 2nd Time Around
Review: I recently re-read Terry Brooks's novelization of "The Phantom Menace" and enjoyed it much more than I did the first time. There are some faults, and Terry can be stiff at times, but there are many gems in this book: the fact that the Theed palace is constructed of "permicrete" with windows of "transparisteel"...that alone is worth having the book for! In fact, it's better than that other Prequel book coming out [you know...Dune] - Much better! I think you should give it a second look.

Summary: Horrible, boring, atrocious, almost as bad as the movie
Review: What can I say? This is a piece of absolute garbage, nearly as bad as the movie. This dull story never would have made it to print if it hadn't been for the original Star Wars, and it desperately rides on A New Hope's coattails, trying to convince everyone that it's something more than a MARKETING GIMMICK for selling all sorts of useless junk.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A great book written by a great author for a great movie!!!
Review: This book is awesome!!! I bought the Obi-Wan Kenobi cover because Qui-Gon Jinn's on the back, and he is my favorite Star Wars character.(Along with Darth Maul, of course!) Terry Brooks is a master fantasy storyteller, so this is yet again another accomplishment from him. If you like reading, fantasy, sci-fi, Terry Brooks, or Star Wars, you should read this book!!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Accompaning the movie
Review: This book shouldn't be thought of as competing with the movie, but accompaning it. If you don't care that much about Star Wars, but want to see Episode I, see the movie. If you love Star Wars, see the movie, read the book, and then go back and see all the things you missed, and check the plotline (that you now know) throughout the whole movie. You see a lot the second time around.
