Summary: Starwars Rules
Review: This book is so much more descriptive than the movie. It tells you alot more and I highly recommend reading the book THEN seeing it in the theater. But I guess the entire world's already seen the movie.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I didnt even read it!
Review: This book was the best book I never read! It looks so good from the cover but who knows! I wish I knew how to make covers like that. The cover is awesome! I want Queen Amidala. Shes HOT! I cried when Darth Maul died at the end. 5 stars on that cover! I hope they are as good as they good. :)

Summary: anyone could have written this book
Review: I have not read anything by Terry Brooks before. I can only hope that this is not typical of his work. The book reads as if the author was writing it as the movie was playing. The visual descriptions were so lacking that one would have difficulty creating the images without having seen the movie. There are a few things in the book that were not in the movie (such as who the Siths are), but no major revelations. All in all it is a weak book supporting a weak movie.

Summary: Filling in the gaps
Review: Star Wars fans the world over have been waiting sixteen years for the newest installation of the greatest saga of all time. In May, Americans got their first look at the newest movie and, for the most part, have been extremely happy. Some, however, were disappointed with the appearance of the novelization before the movie, in many cases letting loose secrects they did not want to know. Many were surprised, however, when, upon seeing the film, many of the story elements present in the novel were not in the movie. This is where the strength of "The Phantom Menace" novelization lies. Here, we are presented with an extended vision of the plot, one which captures the vison and excitement of the film, yet manages to add more than would be possible on the screen. We get an extended history of the Sith, given to us by Darth Sidious himself, as well as some more background about Anakin. In addition to the background, Brooks forshadows the next episode with Anakin's dreams about the future. He does it in his usual artful and elegant prose, reminding one of his "Shannara" books. All in all, this book is a very entertaining and exciting addition to an already great movie.

Summary: Just some thoughts about the audiobook version of the novel
Review: I read this book twice, first by actually reading it, and then by hearing it on audiocassette several months later. What struck me about this audiobook was that the reader, an actor whom I've never heard of (Alexander Adams), seems to give a better performance than any of the actors in the movie! He reads each of the characters' lines with perfect conviction, emotion, and resonance. I'm sure it helped that he wasn't under the supervision of a director whose bumper sticker must say, "Two words: don't emote."

Summary: Wonderful book, worthy of the film! (that's something!)
Review: This book captures the feel of the movie completely. Even if you have already seen the movie, you should read this book, because it adds to the movie experience, as well as being masterful on itself!

Summary: This is a really great book.
Review: This was my kind of book. It was written very well. Because of the fictional and non fictional things. The author did a great job altering the plot a little for the movie. I learded that there is always a good side and a bad side. I think this is the best book ever written.Even though one of the main good guys died it all worked out in the end.

Summary: Superb, It makes the movie look lame.
Review: The book starts off describing the desert wastes of Tatooine. For the next 2 chapters it is basicly non eventful but it is an extra not in the movie. From then on Terry Brooks has done a wonderful job converting the movie to a novel. If you are not a Star Wars fan and hated the movie I recomend you read this because the characters have taken on a completly different attuide from the movie. It is a book which goes on for ages which is bad for most books. But in this case in just adds to the atmosphere. BUY THIS BOOK BUY IT NOW!!!

Summary: This is one of, if not the best book ever written.
Review: I think this was my kind of book that was very well written by the author's constant use of combining fictional and non-fictional things. Because of this intertwining of fictional and non-fictional items, the story seemed somewhat likely to occur. The author also took real things, changed them around a little and put them into the plot, making the plot more interesting. I learned from this book the importance of distinguishing the good and bad side of every conflict. In my opinion, this is one of the best books ever written.

Summary: Excellent!
Review: Terry Brooks really "painted with words" here. This was a really awesome novel, a must-read, better than the movie! I'd give it 20 stars if possible!
