Review: Terry Brooks has done a fine job of turning the screenplay and story into a novel. It is worth noting that there are, however, inconsistencies between the movie and this book. Brooks is forced to try and give depth to these characters, when he can only say so much. It's Lucas's story, and only he knows where it's going. If you read this as a stand alone book, it falls short. Motivations are sketchy at best, and completely void most other times

Review: This book was amazing, I read it a week beofore I saw the movie and I don't know which I liked more. This has to be the best book I have read in a very long time I would recomend this to anyone. Buy it now.

Review: I think the book was great. Whoever hasn't liked it, should read it again!!!!!! OKAY!! I liked reading about the action battles including Darth Maul. Character development was okay but could use a little work though.

Review: It was a good book, don't get me wrong. The two scenes involving the pod racers were written perfectly. However, I found that most of the scenes didn't take time to go through details of setting and some character desciptions. Most of it was very dry and to the point, which can be a good thing in a movie, but rarely works in novels.

Review: Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, both book and movie, were Great!! I saw the movie at the charity Premiere for Children's Medical Center on the 16th! It was just wonderful, so I bought the book. Although the book was written by a fantasy author, it was STILL AS GOOD AS THE MOVIE!! Description and plot line were good and character development were almost as good. This book was as good or EVEN BETTER THAN TERRY BROOKS'S OTHER BOOKS! I suggest strongly that you buy it. It is worth it.

Review: I received this book a week ago. From the moment I started, I couldn't put it down. I am a huge Star Wars fan and since "The Phantom Menace" will not open in my country until july, I decide I wasn't going to wait that long. In my opinion, the book is a must read for any one who wants comprehend the story behind the new film, regardless of whether you've seen the movie or not. If the film's visual beauty captivated your senses up to the point that you lost track of the storyline, instead of running off to get tickets to see it again, take a few hours to sit back and enjoy George Lucas' lastest installment of the Star Wars saga, as adapted by author Terry Brooks.

Review: The book Phantom Menace, in my opinion is by far better than the movie. It has much more detail than the movie and again, in my opinion is the best Star Wars book I have ever read. If you are a Star Wars fan, then the Phantom Menace book is a must have.

Review: This is a must for ANY Star Wars fan. This book was more fun to read than I thought it would be. The words that Mr.Brooks used to capture every moment of this gigantic film was breath-taking. This is no kids book by any means. I'm not saying kids shouldn't read it by any means but, Terry Brooks did a teriffc job on this soon-to-be classic.

Review: This is one of the best books I have ever read, and possibly among the best I ever will read!!! Mr. Lucas chose a great author to bring his art to hardcover, and I can only hope that Mr. Brooks will continue to write the next two novelizations.

Review: It is a great book a recommended read but nit is a bit hard to read what Jar Jar Binks says but anyway it is just fabulous.Queen Amidala is a babe and the book is just so action packed.Darth Maul the evil sith is rather scary.The double saber is brilliant and Obi-Wan brings it on.This book is definitely a recommended read and is great to buy.
