Rating: Summary: Its cool and is just right for people 11 years old and older Review: I thought this book was very good to read. It helps you understand the movie even more. I would recemmend this book to be read after you see the movie because the book tells you scenes that werent in the movie and helps you understand the movie easer too. Thats all I have to say. May the force be with yall.
Rating: Summary: I loved the book! Review: I think that this book was better than the movie, because it described everything in such detail. But since I saw the movie first, it was easy to imagine the characters, and the scenery. So, after you see the movie, it is an even better book.
Rating: Summary: Excellent book, must read if you like starwars! Review: The movie was amazing, but the book has so much more. it goes into great detail on the background and lives of the characters and is definately a must read for all star wars fans.
Rating: Summary: A must read Review: He's done it again! The phantom menace is a must read by Star Wars enthusiests or by any just looking for a good story. Terry Brooks brings this story to life making it both believable and enjoyable. Whether you've seen it or not, reading the book will be an experience worth your time. This was one book I couldn't put down.
Rating: Summary: Good story, bad author ! Review: After reading many Star Wars novels I do not agree with the form of writing Brooks chose to use for this new edition in the Star Wars collection. In my opinion,it was flat and emotionless. I think they should have chosen a more experienced Star Wars novelist. I did, however, enjoy the book(storyline) immensely as far as the events and actions are concerned. I just think it ought to have had a little more emotion to it.
Rating: Summary: I loved it! Review: I am a Star Wars fanatic and I loved this book. Terry Brooks makes it seem like you are really hearing what the characters are saying. I also loved the added parts that were not in the movie. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves Star Wars wether you've seen the movie or not.
Rating: Summary: TPM Novelization: Special Edition Review: The storyline is ok, clearly lifted from the film and pressed into service by Brooks' adequate talent. Some insights into character development (completely unaddressed by the film), but I do have to give a single star to the totally unnecessary 4-different cover gimmick. Perhaps soon we'll have chapters and extra covers altered/added/subtracted for the re-release of the Novelization: Special Edition.
Rating: Summary: MUCH MUCH better than the film Review: Lucas was wise to enlist Terry Brooks, an accomplished and gifted writer for the novelization. Brooks proves himself more than up to the challenge, and his book more than makes up for the utter, complete lack of magic in the LOUSY movie. If only Lucas had hired brooks or someone of Brook's caliber to script the film! I'm a major Stars Wars fan for over twenty years and couldn't believe Lucas cared so little about constructing a cohesive, coherent storyline for the movie. George, here's a news flash: Star wars fans are NOT MORONS, and special effects that do not operate in harmony with a great story are no big deal these days. Hollywood is full of rotten movies with expensive effects. Readers and fans, pick up this book and let your imagination do the work. I guarantee you will be more transported to that far-away galaxy by reading this fine novel than by watching the rip-off Phantom Menace film.
Rating: Summary: This was a Excellent new chapter to the Star wars Trilogy ! Review: Star Wars Episode I The Phantom Menace was a very good book and a great movie! Terry Brooks, you did a great job; and to George Lucas, you are the man!I am Totaly with Amanda Turner ( a Star Wars Junkie who put in what she thought about the book yesterday.)Amanda I am totally with you about the whole Chlorians thing I mean what is that all about! that is my only complant. Anyway here is the big questiom that has been on my mind: who is Anakin's father? I, think it is probably a Sith like Darth Sidious or some one powerful with the force, because if not explain how come Anakin's Chlorian level is so high. Darth Maul however does or did have an awesome light saber although I am to clomsey to be able to use that i mean i would probaly chop of my own head or something.
Rating: Summary: Very good Review: Terry Brooks is an amazing person who cam make you feel like you are there watching Obi-Wan fight Darth Maul.
