Summary: 13 year old
Review: I read this after I saw the movie. Its written so good, I saw every detail. The movie was relpaying in my head. It was so good, I almost like it better then the movie. It has much more details and info then the movie itself.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Reads like a script
Review: Too bad the writer couldn't express more artistically, reads like a movie script. It's a little bit thin for my tastes. The Thrawn Trilogy is much better than this book. I saw the movie first, and was a little bit disappointed with this book, though I'm a Star Wars fan.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: For the artistically challenged
Review: The purchasing machines of George Lucas will have difficulty Reading anyway, so this alexander adams is the ideal bedtime storyteller for brooks literary qualities.

"secondhand banalities" Sir Alec Guinness.

Summary: A GOOD BOOK
Review: This is a good book, Terry Brooks did a good job of writing it, you should also see the movie. I like the Boonta Eve podracer. I like how Terry Brooks tells about parts that aren't in the movie. This is a book you have to add to your Star wars collection.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A decent adaptation of the movie
Review: When reading a novelization of I movie one of the things that I enjoy is additional insights that you can not get from just seeing the movie. While the additional information on the Sith Lords was welcome I did not feel that this books was much more then a rehash of the movie. It was a good read but those expecting to get huge amount of information that was not presented in the movie will be disappointed.

Summary: My thoughts on Star Wars Episode 1 The Phantom Menace (book)
Review: I myself am not a very big star wars fan, but this book is great! This book reveals things not even mentioned in the movie, for instants, this book mentions some of Anakin Skywalker's races before the Jedi's showed up. It's awesome, if you can't watch the movie, you should read the book (you should even if you can watch the movie). And i suggest amazon.com to buy it.

Summary: A Shannara of the future
Review: Okay, I know that Brooks didn't actually write the story, just the novelization, but it is still his typical, suspensful style. Someone (in this case, Anekin) must come to terms with their great destiny, and save the outnumbered "good guys". The way I described it makes it seem stupid, but it's a great book. I guarantee that STAR WARS and SHANNARA fans will not be dissapointed!

Summary: I don't see why people are dissing the book....
Review: Personally, I think this book is very well written. It follows the storyline, which I happen to like very much. I don't know why people are downing this book. But of course this is my opinion. I think this book is excellent for Star Wars fans.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: This book is better than the movie.
Review: The beauty of the written word flowing through your mind allowing you to reflect on your own memories and ideas about the Star Wars saga was infinitely better than the boring predictable acting and scenes of the movie. The book brought me back to a time long ago in a galaxy far far away.....

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Good book, bad movie
Review: If you are into reading, this is the book to read over the summer. However, I would recommend you not watch the movie, because is is so BOORRIING! I can't believe I waited over two hours in line, paid $8, lousy seats, sat next to a guy who smelled like he hadn't showered in over a week, and watched a dragging movie, that is even worse than C-3PO's blabbering. However, if you want to know how the movie is SUPPOSED to be, just read the book, I read it in one week and it was well worth it. go read this book, it will probably give you more "midi chlorins" in the head. good luck and have fun with this book, and "MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU!"
