Review: Rarely am I pleased enough with a book to read it to the end, never mind the idea of crying because the next book in the triology hasn't come out yet. However, Daughter of the Blood was so exciting that it did all of these things to me. It was a great book that recreated the dark alter-reality of my day dreams. It is a must read !!

Summary: A triumph for dark sci-fi
Review: Aboslutely incredible. Not for the average reader to be sure, due to some graphic material, but if you like dark and desperate situations, here's one for you. Bishop's world is richly detailed, and has some great characters, but nothing is bogged down by long-winded descriptions. And the best part is that you root more for the 'supporting characters', than for the 'main character'. I read it in a day, and can't wait for the sequel to come out.

Review: Ms. Bishop has created for us a world that is so far removed from our own, a world of tremendous power, of terror and mysticism that it pulls us in like magic. Her characters are believable, touching and human. The story they weave together touches our hearts and our imaginations, and leave us waiting with eager anticipation for sequel.

Review: This is absolutely the best book I have ever read! I was up all night reading it, and have been raving about it ever since! I adore Daemon, and for weeks, I found myself thinking about the book.I even read it a second time! Imagine how upset I was to discover Heir to the Throne isn't out!!! Highly recommended indeed!

Summary: Captivating and delightfully shocking!
Review: A must read for anyone who prefers their fantasy dark and as complex as reality, if not more so. I started the book hating Daemon, and ended it crying for him. I immediately went looking for the second one (and the third etc....)and almost cried when I found out it wasn't in print yet. I would have to rate the book as R rated, but it is compelling and well written. I couldn't put it down once I started reading it, and went to work the next day with circles under my eyes from not sleeping until I finished it.

Review: This is a good book the only problem its a slightly perverted. So if you are offended by sexual stuff this isn't a book for you. But its a great book. Anne Bishop is a great author. You can't put it down if you like fanasty.

Review: This is one of those books that kept me up way past my bedtime--and I immediately got on-line to get the next one and was incredibly disappointed to realize that the trilogy was this new! Very few books have the ability to make me want to pick up the next book within seconds of finishing the first! I couldn't wait to turn the page of this one, and can't wait until the rest are out.

Bishop's characters are well-developed and her language is compelling--her characters pull you through the book without leading you by the nose. She creates an entire world that you quickly feel familiar with--without having to "explain" all of the details. That's a gift few authors have, and that world-creators must know how to use! This is a must read!

Review: This was a really great book! A lot of scifi/fantasy novels I can only read 1 time. This one I'll read over and over again until 2 and 3 come out! It was a complete story that still left you begging for more.
