Summary: a fantasy thriller i couldn't put down!
Review: this was one of the best books i, an avid fantasy reader, have ever picked up. i've read everything from sharon greene's blending series to tolkien's lord of the rings, and this book fits right in with the best of them. i definitely recommend it for people who are looking for a thrilling, dangerously intriguing fantasy book.

Summary: Unpleasant characters doing unpleasant things
Review: If you enjoy unpleasant characters doing mean and nasty things to one another in scene after plotless scene, this is your book. If cruelty, violence, and unexplained emotionality thrill you, this is your book. If the notion of a 12 year old girl as an object of lust titillates you, this is your book. If you like plots, characters you can like, identify with, or at least be intrigued with, this is definitely not your book.

Review: My friend recommended this book to me, and I came across it in the library one day. As soon as I began to read it, I was gripped. I forced myself to read it over a few days because I didn't want it to end. I want to read the second one so badly! This is the one book I have been looking for forever...

Summary: Where is Heir to the Shadows!?!?
Review: Daughter of the Blood was a great book. The world was interesting and if you paid attention, you could get to know the world of Daughter of the Blood. After reading some of the other reviews, I have to say, Hell is a good place, because there is no Heaven (in the book) and Saeton is a hero, yes. WHY SHOULD THAT OFFEND PEOPLE?!?!? Everyone knows hell isn't real anyway! But the book is great, and I recommend it to anyone who appreciates the deepness of the book. I reread it and I have to say that there is a LOT OF FORESHADOWING so pay attention!

Summary: I LOVED IT!!!!
Review: I loved this book! It was the best I've ever seen so far (aside from Robert Jordan and David Eddings) and I couldn't put it down! I started reading it once I got home and didn't leave it until 3:00 in the morning! Then I finished it at about 10 the same day! I loved it! The characters were great and the book was written beautifully. I think that anyone who disses this is horrid! And for all of you Daemon is 1,700 YEARS OLD NOT 700! I have to point that out to you!

Summary: A book that lays power bare in all of its forms
Review: Anne Bishop has written a novel that explores power in all of its forms, sex, love, healing and the abuse of power as seen through the drepravity of many of the charecters. This book takes you by the heart and doesn't let go no matter how much it hurts. Charecters that are traditionally viewed as villains are the heros and become people that you love. The actions of The Sadist are understood. Daemon is a product of his twisted world and does all in protection and love of his true Queen. Deep, dark smiles occur as you glory in the death and destruction of the enemies. Finally, the embodiment of POWER has come. A girl who shall become a woman (if her enemies do not destroy or twist her first)that will not betray and abuse those whose lives she holds in her hands. I could not get this book out of my mind. It filled my thoughts, at first I struggled to understand this world Bishop had created even as I became more and more intrigued by it. Soon, I was completely ensnared and encompased, unable to put the book down yet unwilling for it to end. I wait impatiently for Bishops next book of her dark, passionate, twisted world and Witch who has the power to reshape it.

Summary: the best fantasy book ever!!!!!! read it!!!
Review: This is the number one book I have read so far, and that's quite a lot. I just picked this book off the shelf because the cover art looked interesting, but boy, did I enjoy it!!!! I'm a slow reader, but I was sitting there the whole time, reading, reading, reading...... I missed dinner, TV, and everything else! I couldn't put it down!! The characters were all volatile, and very, very interesting. They all seemed to be similar, but very different. And the setting. Boy, was it good! I loved it! I just read the book, and I'm just dying for the sequel. I hope it's soon, cause otherwise, I'll die of anticipation!!!

Summary: Too amazing to describe!
Review: This book is in one word, amazing. I have been longing for abook like this for just about my whole life, and find it by pureaccident on my mother's behalf. The storyline is like no other I have ever read, and the characters...I feel like I have actually known them. I have read this book 8 times since I got it in anticipation of the next. Until then...I'll just keep reading this one b/c it is the best book to come out so far!

Summary: How long do I have to wait for the sequel?!!
Review: I must read the next book. I absolutely, absolutely must have the next book! I'll never know exactly why I bought it, but I'm soooo glad I did! The characters are really realistic, even though they could never be in our world. The idea is really inviting, and it's beautifully written. Daemon is my favorite, then Jaenelle! So how long do I have to wait?!

Summary: Fearfully captivating!!!!!
Review: I wept when I realised I had to wait for the next in the series. Absolutely enthralling, a book that grips you desperately and refuses to release you. I have read it several times since I first saw it and enjoyed it every time. There aren't words to explain. I loved them all, from Tersa to Daemon to Memphis. Humour and anger and romance and pain, all brought into terrific wordplay. Please, for all our sakes, hurry with the next!
