Summary: The third Predator novel based on a comic...
Review: and it seems to be the weakest. Not only does the Predator seem to kill at random, sometimes leaving heads BEHIND, heads he went out of his way to collect. But also he blows up an army base, kills a pig, some sheep, gets ambushed by a puma, besides killing lots of soldiers.
Why bother to go about CLOAKED if you're going to bring the whole MILITARY down on your head? Where's the sport in it? And why give up his ship to the army? Did it crash or did he fail to properly hide it?
Too many plot holes and they tried to make the Predator an 'Evil' monster instead of just a alien hunter. I'm not saying he isn't doing evil things, but he isn't a 'MONSTER' either.

Summary: Not the best Predator novel.
Review: I am a fan of the Predator movies and books. I read Concrete Jungle,Cold War and this mess called Big Game. Some things i like about it include the Predator scenes and the action. What I didn't like about it were: No Predator POV, and the Predator only used it's shoulder cannon. No disk...no spear...no wrist blades. I also didn't like the end. In the Predator novels and movies the Predators always cover their tracks in the end. And the goal I think is that Earth doesn't get it's hands on the technology. The ending makes it so it could be taken. That sort of ruins it. If you are looking for great Predator stories check out Concrete Jungle and Cold War.

Summary: Predator takes on the Native American Legend.
Review: I enjoyed reading this Predator book it was fast paced, had a lot of action and I enjoyed the Indian legend tie in. I thought it might have been a little better if we could have known what the Predator was thinking from time to time. They can fly a space craft, build advanced weapons and act highly intelligent, so why blow up your only means of transportation when you can go in and take it back whenever you want? It was the "Why?" thing that bothered me the most otherwise I like the book.

Summary: good, but it could be better
Review: I enjoyed this novel but I feel that there could have been so much more to it. I agree with many of the fans who want to read predator novels which also include the predators perspective of events. I suspect the authors are under creative constraints but I feel that the cat is out of the bag as far as the predators are concerned. We fans want to read more about the predators themselves but these books are written solely from the perspective of uninformed protagonists. The book is good, for all that the predator gets short shift in terms of actual coverage. Certain parts, such as the fight between the predator and the cougar could have been embelished more.(for example: such as the fight between the alien and the panther in Music of the Spears) Overall the characterisations were good and no part of the book made me cringe, which is in itself an achievement. The print in these books could be smaller though. I understand that the authors have very little to work with but with greater creative embelishments the predator novels could be every bit as fun to read as the aliens novels currently are.

Summary: I have read this, but It isn't a thriller...
Review: I have read most the predator comics, and watched both movie, and some books, but Predator: Big Game is not a thriller, as some of my friends that own say it is terrifyin'. If you like the book, I'm glad that you like it. I just don't. Go aliens vs predator books!

Summary: Predator-a mechanical mess with action included.
Review: I have read the book called, Predator-The Big Game, which is a take off from the movie Predator. In the movie, Arnold Schwartzenegger plays the star role of an army commando who confronts an alien. In the book the main character is a Navajo Indian, and a Corporal in the United States Army, who takes on a self proclaimed mission to seek and destroy an alien who has come to make sport of killing Nakia's (the Indian) friends and family, or anyone else in that matter. This book was written like any other copy of a good book or movie, with the intent to make money. In the book the writing is very mechanical and the author, I mean authors, Sandy Schofield, the pen name of a husband and wife team, provides no depth for the main character. When I say mechanical I mean that the writing does not flow it just takes steps, and very weak ones at that. Apparently the authors were hired just to rewrite the movie in book form, and in a different setting. But I guess everyone needs a job, and when it's just a job one will do it just to get it done and get paid, with no personal inspiration added. I will agree that the story did hold my interest, and the graphic descriptions of the gore scenes were very good. Also the action that takes place in the last few chapters is very exciting. So I say, hurray for Nakia and his valiant effort in the killing of this monster and to the authors I say, your effort was just okay.

Summary: kick booty book
Review: I thought Predator Big Game was a wonderful book. The gore sceens were very well detailed and it had lots of action. The last five chapters or so were very exciting. I also enjoyed the legend portion of the book. I won't say anymore because i don't want to spoil the plot for anyone. But,definently buy this book.
