Rating: Summary: Who coul afford this book? Review: I rate this book 3 stars because I did like the book Sharon green has written 10 years ago (The Silver Bracers). But I won't pay this price for the hardcover. I'm ready to wait ten more year for the mass paperback.
Rating: Summary: After 10 years of waiting for the sequel... Review: I read the first LB/LF book - Silver Bracers - almost 10 years ago when it was released in paperback, and was thrilled with the story - until Ms. Green left me hanging at a crucial point! Finally, I got to read the rest of the story, and it's a great read, if sometimes a tad rambling. Like all Sharon's book, a little confusion is worth it when the pieces come together at the end... except I'm warning all readers, this one doesn't finish the story either! Let's just hope it isn't another ten years before we get the next installment - eh Ms. Green???

Rating: Summary: Good unfinished series. Review: Personally, I prefer hardbacks to paperbacks when I intend to keep a book. They are easier to read, and they are much more durable. Yes, this one was a little pricy, but I will spend a little more for the hardback option. As to content, I have enjoyed all of Ms. Green's books that I have read so far, and this one was no exception. Ms. Green's characters always have some "excellent adventures." I have two complaints about the book: (1) In the second part (The Argent Swords), too much time is spent on a repetitive argument that the heroine does not like to be forced into anything. (2) Readers are left hanging at the end of the book, and one can only hope that the author finishes the story before too many years have gone by; or, even worse, that it is never finished like the the Far Side of Forever series.
Rating: Summary: quick read Review: the first book was alright, but I was sorta mad that they didn't finish it then and tere. It sort of wanderend a bit but overall it is a good book, especially if you're in the mood for a different kind of soap novel.
Rating: Summary: Highway Robbery Review: Why are we obliged to buy two in one? Most of us have read the first book many years ago and have been waiting for a sequel. Well we finally get it and must have the first one with it and in hard cover to boot! Highway robbery to all fans of Sharon Green. Why not have a paperback of book two and be reasonable to all her fans?! Until then, I will not buy this outrageous price of a hard cover book. Give us a break!

Rating: Summary: Thanks for continuing the Lady Blade Lord Fighter Series. Review: Will the Lady and the Fighter ever find their way to 'Happily ever after'? While this question is not answered in this book - it becomes much clearer that 'The Larger Picture' is so huge that it may require four or even five more books to complete the tale (and answer this question). A "must read" for those Sharon Green fans who are wanting to encourage her to write more sequels!
While it would be nice to know how many books are planned for this series, getting another good read sooner would be just as nice.
In answer to some complaints that I have read about "too much jumping around" in the Argent Swords - personally, I think this shows a masters touch at blending alternate realities, rather strictly, through the characters' points of view; while also allowing the author to take more of a creative license with the development of her characters.
To those who may think of this book as being too pricy - short of doing a questionable re-printing of the original Silver Bracers, I believe this to be the best available compromise between the publishers bottom line and the author's desire to please her readers/fans (especially those that, for whatever reason, don't currently own a copy of the Silver Bracers). Although this does raise the question of whether to buy this book now? - or wait and see if the next story in the series comes out with three-stories-in-one-cover?
This is one Sharon Green fan that is eagerly awaiting any sequels (to any of her books) that she may care to write.
Rating: Summary: Good unfinished series. Review: Wow! Like the rest of my fellow reviewers, I was excited to finally be able to read the continuation of Lady Blade, Lord Fighter. I thought the hardbound copy was pretty expensive, especially since I already own several copies of the paperback, but I did want to see how the story continued. I also collect books as collectables and have a sizable Sharon Green collection. When I received the book - yuck! There was sticky glue residue on the front cover, Sharon Green's name was mispelled on the spine (it reads "Sharo Green", the inside book paper covers were missing (the heavier paper that lies between the cover and book). I was extremely disappointed with the quality of a [$$$] book, and then I sat down to read the stories. Sharon Green's writing of the second story was meandering, disjointed and not as enjoyable as her first story ... and again, we're left hanging wondering what is going to happen next! I get the overall impression, from the writing style, from the quality of the hardbound book, and from the prices of her books available only online, that lately Sharon Green is more interested in making money from her fans than she is in giving us the quality of writing that we've come to expect from her.
