Summary: I DID NOT PUT THIS DOWN
Review: This book, along with the other three in the series, captured my full attention and did not let it go until I had read the entire 600+ pages in the Enchanted Forest Chronicles. I got it on a Friday and kept reading until my eyes would not stay open, I woke up Early Saturday and, well, read the entire thing. It is one of the absolute best books I have ever read with an original plot. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Summary: Brilliant- like the others
Review: I am a picky reader, especially when it comes to the standard fantasy cliches, like, romance, Dragons, and enchanted forests. This book is easily taken for granted-- a standard quest, with all the usual quest-hampering pitfalls. So how does Patricia Wrede turn it on its head and make this (and the other Enchanted Forest novels) some of the most well-written and engaging novels I've ever read? They appeal to everyone I've ever known who has read them, from my little sister to my much-older cousin. They even appeal to me, reading for the fifth or sixth time many years after I first picked them up. Particularly this one, which may be my favorite of the lot. Anyone who is interested in fairy tales, fantasy- and for that matter, anyone interested in reality- will have their socks knocked off their feet.

Summary: we have to love the humor!
Review: I figure that either you have read the book, or read the other reviews by now. I would like to take a moment to explain why 'Searching for Dragons' is one of my favorite books. Its not because of the romance, rather because I love the way Ms. Wrede can write from King Mendanbar's point of view. The way his opinions, and thoughts are written absolutely amaze me. I also like how he sees magic. This is a great sequal to the book dealing with dragons. If you haven't read this book yet, I would certianly recomend it.

Summary: My favorite of the Enchanted Forest Books!!!
Review: I really enjoy the way that Patricia C. Wrede portrays creatures, princesses, and other magic stuffs. It's very humorous and suspenseful. I highly recommend it!!!

Summary: This book was better even than it's prequel.
Review: I am a lover of dragons, so of course this series caught my eye. After reading the first book, I decided to venture on and discovered the second book. I couldn't put it down after the first chapter. The characters were well thought out, the plot was excellent, and more than anything it made you feel as if you were right there with Mendanbar and Cimorene. That's another part I enjoyed: the romance was just enough to make it interesting, but not too much so that it clouded over the story. Also, Cimorene's dislike of Mendanbar in the beginning is very typical for this unlikely princess. Mendanbar, too, first thinks of Cimorene as one of the empty-headed princesses that he so loaths. I highly recommend this book to people even who are older than young adult. It will tickle your fancy for fantasy, and satisfy your reading itch.

Summary: An ingenious book to an ingenious series
Review: The enchanted forest chronicles got me hooked on fantasy, but I have never been able to find any work that compares even closely to Ms. Wrede's. Searching is my favorite book in this series. I especially like how she uses familiar stories and tales to tie into her stories, only she twists them around a little to make it funny (a magic carpet with bright pink teddy bears, Rumplestiltskin's grandson with a problem of getting too many children, a wicked uncle who has to do something wicked or else, and so on). I would love to meet the characters personally, and I have read the whole series about four times. On a scale of 1 to 10 this is an absolute 11!

Summary: Immerses you in the action right from the start
Review: I absolutely LOVE this series! I own all the books and have read them all about 6 or 7 times and this one is my favorite. I love the subtle romance included in it and Patricia C. Wrede makes everything wonderful in the stories. The titles of the stories are wonderfuly hilarious such as: "Chapter 4: In which Kazul has a dinner party and Cimorene makes dessert." (Dealing With Dragons) The romance and love in this book is soo perfect and I can't stop reading it! The only book series I read more is Star Wars, and I think Princess Leia is like Cimorene. I think that all 4 of these books should be made into movies, and, hey, if anyone decides to make them into movies, contact me: I would absolutely love to be Cimorene!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: More excellent fantasy from Patricia C. Wrede
Review: Searching For Dragons is my favorite in the awesome Enchanted Forest Chronicles. Similar to the first one in tone, Cimorene's further adventures offer new surprises and puns. Mendenbar is a refreshingly practical king (not a prince or a virtuous wood-cutter) and the dialogue between he and Cimorene is often humorous.

Unlike Tamora Pierce's books, the Enchanted Forest Chronicles are good throughout and are done (in my opinion) with a great deal more of creativity and humor. Try them! You won't be disappointed.

Summary: 'nuff said
Review: this awesome book, the sequel to "dealing with dragons" is one of the best young adult books i ever read as a 10 year old. i've read it so many times, i might need to buy another copy...

Summary: Hilarious at some parts
Review: Kazul the King of Dragons is kidnapped by a bunch of wizards and it is up to her princess Cimorene,King Mendanbar,Morwen the witch, and Telemain the magician to find her. All in all, Patricia C Wrede uses nursery rhymes, folklore and fairy tales to make the story positively funny.
