Rating: Summary: This book was OK Review: I thought it was OK... but it was boring. I tried my best to read the whole book but I couldn't cause it was too boring. Sorry, man, but this book wasn't exiting. Cya
Rating: Summary: I liked this book Review: I would recommend this book for children because it contains action, suspense, and revenge. Prince Xizor is pitting himself against Darth Vader in a deadly game of "who's the slyest ". The book starts out on the Empire 's capital world of Coruscant where the Emperor is trying desparatley to "make Skywalker see the true side of the Force." . In the middle Luke, and a certain smuggler whose name I will not tell you, go with the Bothans to board an Imperial freighter that has the Death Star 2's main reactor in tow. At the end (my personal favorite part) "that certain guy" and Luke & Lando Calrissian break into the sewers of Coruscant to gain entry to Xizor's palace where Princess Leia is being held prisoner. That's really all I can tell you for the rest would be considered a spoiler. If you're a Star Wars fanatic like me you will love this book ( I might also recommend the trilogy Heir to the Empire, Dark Force Rising, and the Last Command by Timothy Zahn )
Rating: Summary: Most Important Star Wars Book to date Review: The is obviously the most important because from what I have read, most of the prequel trilogy will take place in coruscant, the major setting of this book. I would recommend this book to anybod, even if they hated Star Wars.
Rating: Summary: Great book kinda sad and funny at the same time Review: I really love the book. Steve Perry did a good job with the plot. I think having Dash Rendar gave it some humor. Even though the Emperor is on the cover he has basicly no point. I like that it mentions Boba Fett a lot. I liked the part when Dash Rendar said "Okay Goldie. My name is Man With a Blaster About to Cook You." Xizor was a good character to add. He made the plot more complex.
Rating: Summary: The book was better than: Star wars: A new hope Review: I just got finished reading this book, and it was very, very good! It takes place between The Empire Strikes Back, and,Return of the Jedi. The plot is: to free han solo from boba fett.darth vader wants luke skywalker alive,so he can turn to the dark side of the fore. But someone called prince xizor has other plans. A pilot called dash rendar helps luke, leia, chewie, and lando help rescue han. I promise, you will love this book. in fact i just started reading it again!
Rating: Summary: Great villan! Great story! Great book! Review: This was one of (mabey the) best books ever!!! It has an excellent, and very evil, villan. It had Dash Rendar, a cool new charecter (he dies though). The events, hostage situation, sneak ins, suspense, funny stuff, and just about everything about it ruled!!! Great book. Read it. It fills a gap between the 2nd and 3rd movies. I think the reason Steve Parry did this was so he could have Darth Vader, but it was a good choice, cause Darth is a major charecter in it.
Rating: Summary: A must have to your collection Review: This book is great but it didn't have anything with Boba Fett which if it did, I would given it a ten. If you buy this book you will be pleased. Does not get boring at all. Hey Steve Perry, write another Star Wars book 'cause this was great.
Rating: Summary: THIS WAS AN AWESOME BOOK Review: This was the greatest book I've read in a long time. I mean that in the story, Luke Skywalker is off doing something else while the Princess is off trying to save Hon Solo's life from Bobo Fette. The empire is right on thier tail. So I believe that this is a great book for someone to read. Thank you for writing this book.
Rating: Summary: This book has sold over 300,000 copies. I loved this book! Review: This book is the best book ever and written by the best writer ever. Steve Perry has written many sf books andI have read many star wars books. This book was very itresting and fun to read. If you look for a good star wars book I recomend this one. I also recomend Dark Saber and The Courtship Of Prinssec Leia.
Rating: Summary: What's the point? Review: Why did this book happen? Why was it surrounded by such a huge media blitz?? I have read every Star Wars book published to date, and this is the one I have disliked the most. Here's a list of things that are wrong with this novel: 1. The characters. Why do we need Dash Rendar? Is there some sort of secret Star Wars formula that states there must always be a Han Solo character? Can there not be a story without a hot shot pilot/scoundrel/selfish-but-comes-around-in-the-end Corellian? 2. The end. I don't like books that end with the "did he live, or did he die?" question. Especially with characters I hate, and don't want to see popping up again in other books. 3. The BIG-DEAL everyone, including LucasArts, made out of this single book. Seems to me there should have been a BIG-DEAL made about Timothy Zahn's trilogy. For those novels, I would have been happy to fork over cash for a video game(can you imagine the possibilities?!?), a soundtrack, comic books, and action figures. I rated this book a 4, and not a 1 or 2, because all in all, it wasn't a horrible novel. It just wasn't nearly the masterpiece I was led to believe it was.
