Rating: Summary: this book is awesome! Review: Steve Perry is a genius! This book rocks! Unlike the game where you follow Dash Rendar you follow the characters that we have grown to love! The evil Prince Xizor is more vile, more dispicable even than the dreaded Darth Vader! Steve Perry wove the plot so tightly that there is no room for doubt! He makes you believe the story! All those questions you had about in between "Return of the Jedi" and "Empire Strikes Back" are answered! After you read it you long for other "Star Wars" literature!
Rating: Summary: Totally dull, man. Review: It was hella boring. I mean, we all knew that Darth Vader would never catch Luke, and that Xixor was gonna die. It was totally predictable. Save yourself the time, and money.
Rating: Summary: Shadows fits in perfectly with the Star Wars Universe Review: I love this book! Every mention of the charecters thoughts fitted in perfectly with RotJ and the later book series. Liea loved Luke, but not like she loved Han. Reason: Luke was her brother. Another one. Drath Vader senses Luke, but his force power seems to be in two places as if it was an echo (he was contacting Leia at the time) Reason: Leia later proved to have a great deal of power in the later books and even became a jedi. Also, Dash Rendar was a nice charecter even though I doubt he'l be in any more books for obvious reasons if you read the book. Anyway, I loved this book. It's my favotire book about Star Wars. Hell, any book about Star Wars is good except for the ones five year olds write.
Rating: Summary: EXCELLENT Review: Great book! Lots of action, origanl ideas, and a good plot. Only one bad part: what did the author do with Leia and Xixor. From that part it seems like Xixor has Force powers.
Rating: Summary: Page-turner. Review: A page-turner, but for all the wrong reasons. I found this book incredibly dull, and I probably scanned a good half of it, flipping the pages as fast as I could during the long, drawn-out, tedious space battle scenes. It is interesting in parts, but over-all this book is a yawner. Try Zahn's trilogy instead. Even "Truce At Bakura" is better than this book. Interestingly, the computer game of the same name as this book is just as bad. A cursed title, perhaps?
Rating: Summary: Vader ain't that bad... Review: What a great book! It deserves to become a canon SW! I bought both book and comics version of this title and the comic version is terrible. The book is so exciting that i could almost see the X Wings coming to help Luke, Xizor seducing Leia and Vader trying to breath by his own. The only bad point from this book is to show the human side of Vader, trying to find his son and keep him alive before Xizor could find him and kill him.
Rating: Summary: This book RULES! Read it! Review: I REALLY enjoyed this book. It was the first book that I ever read that I looked forward to reading in class the next day (yes, in class). The characters are many sided, unlike what others may have told you. The book fits perfectly with The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. If you have ever seen a Star Wars movie, ever read a Star Wars book, or if you've ever thought about reading a Star Wars book, read this one, it will blow you away. I accualty didn't want 10 for my vote, but the little bar dosn't go up to 20.
Rating: Summary: Star Wars:Shadows of The Empire Review: This book is my favorite book of all-time. The action, suspense, and great character interactions had me wanting more. I have read it twice, listened to the audio book, and will probably read it again. It is too bad that Dash died. Another review of this book said it was boring. The guy saying that was full of it. He probably didn't even read it.
Rating: Summary: Good for the people that do not live and die Star Wars Review: I, by no means, am a person that might be considered a Star Wars fanatic. Shadows of the Empire was recommended to me by a friend. For the Stars Wars novel novice it is a good way to discover what took place between Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. As for the criticism about the character of Dash Rendar (how there always has to be a Han Solo-esque character), people should realize that is a book and nothing else.
Rating: Summary: I love it!!!!! Review: This is defenetily one of the best fiction stories I have ever read. A wonderful storyline that keeps you tight with it. You wont let it go untill you've read it all.
