Rating: Summary: This book is truly a fascinating tale that should be told. Review: I think that this book is a story of it's own. I would consider this an action-adventure novel with a touch rofromance that is really great. I recomend this book to all diehard star wars fans or anyone who is interested in more than just the original saga.
Rating: Summary: Star Wars at it's best! Would be great for a movie! Review: This novel is set between the time of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, and follows Leia getting ready to rescue Han Solo frozen in carbonite and Luke's flight from both Darth Vader and introducing a new character-an evil mastermind who will dare to oppose Darth Vader-dark lord Xizor. The concept of traveling to different galaxies and planets is neat and the space battles are great.
Rating: Summary: The best Star Wars book! Review: I think the book is great because they travel to different planets and have space battles.
Rating: Summary: This is an awesome book!!!!! Review: Star Wars Shadows of th Empire is an awesome book!!! Finally there is a book about the Black Sun and this takes you right into its heart. BUY THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: SOTE is Force-fully Cool! Review: This is a great book, dudes and i would recommend it to anyone. You get a up close and personal look at D.Vader like when hes in that chamber of his trying to fix his lungs and there are a lot of nice little details which are unneccesary but nice like Xizor's chair talking weird and Lando telling Luke that they would play "Question the Quarren" later- real cute. Dash gets on your nerves sometimes but hes actually real nice.
Rating: Summary: Simply The Best! Review: I think that Steve Perry is a wonderful writer and that his book, "Shadows of the Empire", deserves a full Five-Star Rating. This book takes place between two of Lucas' masterpieces, "The Empire Strikes Back" and "The Return of the Jedi". The book starts off after Solo has been frozen in carbonite, and tells of the journeys and achievements of Skywalker and the rest of the group, who are desperately trying to get Solo back. The book also brings in a few new characters, such as "Xizor", criminal lord of the "Black Sun", and a few others whom are vitally important in making this novel such an incredible masterpiece. I hope that you consider acquiring this astonishing novel, and I suggest that all you Star Wars Fans out there get it, and get it fast.
Rating: Summary: This book rocks! Review: This book was so good I couldn't put it down. I read it in 3 days. I suggest you get it. It even was a New York Time's Best Seller.
Rating: Summary: STAR WARS NOVELS AT ITS BEST Review: This is perhaps the BEST of all the non-movie Star Wars novels, adding depth to the Empire, to Darth Vader and to even Emperor Palpatine. It's great to see how much attention was paid to linking things with both Empire Strices Back and Return of the Jedi, and the new characters do great in the already familiar universe.
Rating: Summary: great! Review: I liked this one... I personally have never played the video game, but i like Xizor and the fact that he is so powerful without the force. He wins the award for handsomest villan,I decided after I saw the cover. Dash is all right, but pretty much just another Corellian from the rebellion. I liked the idea of an anti-bounty hunter. Guri is irrelevant, and a little too evil. I also liked hearing where Leia got the Boussh armor. Buy this one,It's good. But don't get too attached to the bad Guys.
