Summary: One of the best books in your LIFETIME!!!
Review: This really is one of the greatest books out there. Though not everybody will like it thise who are true fans of the genre will. A classic of sci fi if i ever read one. That also goes for the rest of the series! Please read this book. Thank you.

Summary: Foreigner: A Novel of First Contact
Review: This was the first C J Cherryh book that I read. I am not generally a Science Fiction fan, but boredom took me to the library and I admit that I chose this book at random. I found the book very engrossing and went to some lengths in finding the rest of the series. I am now on the fourth book in the Foreigner Series (Precursor). I have enjoyed each book and look forward to the new one coming out in December. The author is excellent in her craft.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: must read if you love complex stories and vivid characters.
Review: When I started this book I had to finish. I stayed up all night reading and did not even notice the time passing, but then Cherryh does that to me. Do yourself a favor and get the next in the series and read them back to back.

Summary: An unexpected delight for a non-fan!
Review: You want to know how good this book is? I *despise* Cherryh and yet I found that I could not put this book down! (But no, I don't recall why it was that I'd picked it up in the first place ;) ) Something about the world of the Atevi draws a reader in even against their will; this is simply one of the best realized settings I've come across in ages. Highly recommended even if you're completely off Cherryh ever since trying to slog through "Cyteen" ;) .
