Summary: Where's the Star Wars?
Review: Kube-McDowell has put in plenty political, scientific, and spiritual mumbo-jumbo into this trilogy, but totally forgot what really made Star Wars wonderful: how much fun it was. The action scenes are few and far between, and and Leia never even do anything interesting. The Lando story is more Star Trek than Star Wars, the Leia story is a reminder of why only one scene in the classic trilogy even touched the subject of politics, and Luke's story shows that the author has taken SW spirituality way too seriously. A massive failure of a series. Can you even imagine Han and Leia having family lives? Tres stupid.

Summary: where's the action?
Review: This book to me wasn't as bad as some made it seem but I understand their points. There must of been 3 pages of action in this book and even that was rushed. Also the thing with Luke and his mom is a waste because there's only 3 short chapters on him.

I liked the part with Lando and ship and also the part where Nil Spaar keeps on using the New Rep. Holonet to accuse Leia. However in the part with Land how did he take of his glove from his suit, and let his bare hand free in deep space without dying from dpressurization, his hand freezing off, or just from the plain vacuum of space itself.

Anyway this book to me just explains of the preface of a large conflict that should happen throughout the series. Therefore I think the next one in the series should have more action than this, I hope. Cause if not I'll cont. with the Mandalorian Armor series which is much better.

Summary: IT"S NO X-WING BOOK!
Review: I didn't understand the book till I got to the middle, the vagabond was just unthinkable! Not to mention the White Current, Stackpole was also just trying to make the story more suspenseful by Leia's resignation, it didn't work!

Summary: The best.
Review: This is one of the best books to ever come out of the pitiful Star Wars universe. The only thing that could possibly challenge this set of books would be the Star Wars games. The action is superb, and the way he tells it I can picture it in my mind. This is a must have. The only problem is that if you like Luke Skywalker, and the Force, this new type of universal energy puts the Force to shame. Luckily for me, I hate Luke and always will, so it was great!

Summary: a good book
Review: This was a good book that belongs in the Star Wars series. It was hard for me to put the book down while reading it. The way the characters are portrayed is excellent.

Summary: Not Star Wars!
Review: This book probably embarassed George Lucas beyond the point of resurrection! I was forced to skim the book after 15 or twenty pages because I basically didn't care. This shouldn't even be a SW novel.... it should be one of those stupid TV shows. After this, Mac Dowell shouldn't ever show his face in an SW novel again!

Summary: Worst SW Book Ever
Review: This book is the worst book I have ever read as is the entire trilogy. There was almost no action in the trilogy and when there was it was boring. The only reason I bought this book is because I an a die hard Star Wars fan. The entire concept of the Vagabond was unbeliveble and just plain stupid. I'm almost sure (though it wasn't obvious) that the author was trying to make the book suspenseful as to what would happen whith the senate trying to renounce Leia. The suspense wasn't there and it was obvious what was going to happen. If I could I wouldn't have given it a star at all. This book and entire trilogy stunk.

Summary: It's just an addition
Review: I can understand why some people would think that this book takes something away from the star wars universe. But in a way, it does add something. Honestly, do you think in a giant galaxy (one in which Han Solo has seen a lot of strange stuff) that there is only ONE good group and one bad group, this is M. Kube-Mcdowell's attempt to show us that there is more in the SW universe than the Empire and the Rebellion (or New Republic). I think that these books should be additions to the timeline, and not just replications of the movies with the same set of heroes and villans, the same struggle, and the same outcome. I did have one question, what did anyone think of the Fifth fleet parts of this book, nobody really mentioned them. I thought they were pretty well written.
