Rating: Summary: Save your money Review: Garbage. Saying anything more is simply redundant.

Rating: Summary: One of the best sci-fi novels I've ever read Review: Michael Paul McDowell is a story-teller almost of a genius. He combines efficiently several narrative tecniques to provide an amazing science-fiction story, trailing styles from Frederick Forsythe and Isaac Asimov. He also shows a great mastery of rythm and vocabulary, confirming him as one of the best sci-fi authors at the present moment. 'Before the Storm'-and the other books- surpasses in quality Timothy Zahn's trilogy, being respectful -to a certain extent- with Lucas works. Black Fleet Crisis is so good that Zahn was obliged to 'rescue' his old characters -Grand Admiral Thrawn and Mara Jade- when he wrote two additional books, some years after.
Rating: Summary: PEOPLE WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU Review: To all the people that are upset and whiny because this series contradicts TPM, maybe you should read the book. In the end, Luke finds out that Akanah was lying to him about just about everything. (Sorry if I spoiled something but I had to say it.)

Rating: Summary: Good at first, until "Phantom Menace" came out. Review: And it wasn't even that good before! The only interesting parts in this story was Luke going off with that woman to search for his mother. I skipped all the other parts. The Yevetha were too much like the Ssi-Ruuk in my opinion. Both thought humans were inferior, both wanted to taker over the galaxy- yadda, yadda, yadda, whatever. But, when I saw "Phantom Menace", I realized that we were finally going to find out who Luke and Leia's mother truly is. It's Padme, not this Nashira we keep hearing about in the Black Fleet Crisis. After that, the book kinda became pointless, and I haven't even read it since. To all you SW fans out there, spare yourself the trouble and don't read this book. Just pretend that it doesn't exist.
Rating: Summary: This book is fair. Review: I liked this book pretty well, as far as it goes. However, the way that Leia, Luke, and Han acted as opposed to the ways that they acted in the movie disturbed me.Leia seemed weak and spoiled to me. Han especially seemed a whole lot more refined and less than the rogue that added so much in the movies. In the movies he was a mercenary to all appearances and had a definate character. In this book, he really is taken out of that basic character. Luke was so distant and didn't really seem to care about anything other than his Jedi powers. Even though he seemed to think that that was the best thing to do, he's still the only true Jedi master and he's needed. He seemed terribly selfish to me. These books do have some good points. However, I don't think that they belong in Star Wars. If Kube-McDowell was going to write these, he shouldn't have written them in the Star Wars universe; he should have made up his own. That way he wouldn't have made the characters that we know and enjoy look as bad as he did.
Rating: Summary: The LOONGEST SW trilogy ever! Review: This trilogy had ABSOLUTALY NO POINT! It drags ON and ON(and on and on and on) the entire book. There are maybe 2 or 3 imteresting passages for each 400 page book. The beginning is decently interesting but I became incredibly bored after the 1st 3rd of the book. This is probably one of the only sw books I will Never reread.
Rating: Summary: This book is LOOONG! Review: This book is really WRONG!! When Luke goes to his mother's home world in the book it isn't Naboo! I think that George Lucas was a little stupid not to realize that some lady spent millions of hours writing a LOOOONG book and Geoge doesn't care. For some entertainment and read this book about Luke running off with a girl, and Leia becoming worried. AND WORRIED. AND WORRIED. AND WORRIED. read the other review after me to get the point.
