Rating: Summary: Another great Flame of Recca Review: Anzai Nobuyuki's works haven't interested me till recently. Mainly due to his Flame of Recca series. The artworks in first a couple volumes may seen a bit crappy, but as the mangaka's skills improved to a pretty professional level. (May seem like some shoujo mangaka's) This is just some ordinary fighting only shounen manga. The plot and the hilarity are suitable for both genders.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful Review: I love the first volume of Flame of Recca. I have read all of them... (More then 20 vol.) before they were published in the United States. The whole Flame of Recca series used to be translated on a website. As soon as I heard that Flame of Recca was being published in the United States I just had to have it. I adore every single volume. The first one is not quite as good as the later volumes because the story is still beginning to unfold. If you did not enjoy the first volume that much don't let it stop you from reading the rest. It just keeps getting better and better. Once they reach the tournament the fun really begins. *Evil laugh*
Rating: Summary: Flame of Recca Review: This book is so good that your eyes will bleed. My favorite character is Recca because he can put his arm on fire. His biggest rival is a mystirious women that tries realy hard to confuse Recca. Shes so desprate that she gives a thing to Reccas rival or friend and then she gets super wind abilitys and tries to kill Recca.
Rating: Summary: Another great Flame of Recca Review: This is another great Flame of Recca book, but probably is more of a shonen story( more for boys then girls). Even though i am a girl i really like this story. I had no clue what i was buying when i first got this story, but it turned out to be pretty good. Rated older teen for languauge and brief nudity. But its really not that bad.

Rating: Summary: Who doesn't like ninjas? Review: Until "Flame of Recca", my only manga experience was the "Oh My Goddess!" series. I bought this on a whim and my instincts proved right. Some of the characters are standard manga/anime types (the sweet and innocent heroine, the mysterious dark lady, etc), but the stories are action-packed. The artwork has a "sketchy" quality but the panels are well layed out and easy to read. There is never any confusion over what is happening on each page. I should note that this book is printed in the original Japanese format and thus reads right-to-left. I'd never read a "backwards book" before this ("Oh My Goddess" is edited to read left-to-right) and found that I actually prefer the original format. When reading edited mangas I can't help noticing discrepancies between flipped and non-flipped panels and it drives me nuts. Warning: VIZ (the publishers) rated this book "T+", or "for Older Teens", and with reason. It contains obscene gestures, some profanity, suggestive dialogue, and one scene of frontal female nudity.
