Rating: Summary: Wow Review: This book is quite different from Paradise Snare. It explains many things I didn't know, and the story was just great. I learned more about life than I did about Star Wars.
Rating: Summary: A masterpiece Review: A.C. Crispin is second only to Timothy Zahn in the pantheon of SW writers. She has somehow managed to take all the contradictory information that existed about Han before ANH and tie it all together in a fast-paced and exciting story. The trilogy manages to explain the motivation for just about every characteristic we see of Han from ANH onward. Han and Chewie's relationship is captured better than in any other book. Chewie's home life on Kashyyyk is fleshed out nicely. Finally, what makes the story is the absolute heart-breaking romance between Han and Bria. Crispin does a magnificent job of fleshing out the character of Han Solo.
Rating: Summary: Action Packed And Exciting Review: A very exciting book by a great author for Han Solo and Chewie fans. The Hutt Gambit explains how Han Solo is thrown out of the Imperial academy, his life of crime, and how he met Chewbacca. I think that the most action packed scene of the book was the battle of Nar Shadd. Overall, I think that all people who like Han Solo should read this book to find out what he was like before the The New Hope.
Rating: Summary: Woderful Review: This is another great book by this author. She really stirs up your imagination and can make you Shiver just as she made me when Vader entered a room and killed a guard in the last few pages of the book and Solo didn't find any markings on the body. Spooky! I loved it. I hope the third book is just as great.
Rating: Summary: Another great book! Review: This book was just as good as the first one. It captured Han's Solo character and of course, Chewie's character. I liked the action and the suspence in this book. I also liked how he met a few of his enemies. I just have one tiny problem. I think the author focused too much on his ex-girlfriend. He makes such a big fuss over her till the end of the trilogy, she's a okay character, but I think that Han's relationship with Chewbacca is a little more important than her. After all, she does make Han's relationship with Leia go a tad down.
Rating: Summary: hate reading, but couldn't put these (trilogy) down. Review: out of the 8 star wars books i have read, this trilogy is the top 3.book1: tie #1 book2: #2 book3: tie #1 i didn't want it to end
Rating: Summary: As Expected Review: I got to know Crispin through her Starbridge series which I enjoyed very much. When I heard that she will write about Han Solo's youth, I said I want these books. They did not disappoint me. Though as all in her books all the characters are a bit feminine, their personalities are are deep and the story is entertaining. It's a good thing that she implemented the previous trilogy about Han Solo, but as I expected she didn't (couldn't probably) blend in the second trilogy - because it was only published in hungarian. I advise every Star Wars fan familiar with hungarian language to get those too. In a word, Crispin did a great job, it's a must.
Rating: Summary: It was nice to finally see how Han met Chewbacca Review: I've read most of the star wars books and this is one of my favorites
Rating: Summary: it deserves five stars Review: the han solo trilogy is better than any other trilogy. this is the worst book in it, but it is still the third best book I've ever read.
Rating: Summary: Absolutely incredible! Review: This book is the best of the Han Solo trilogy. I love all three but this one was just irresistible. I recommend all three but this one is the best. Instead of just getting the reader by between the setup of the first book and the resolution of the third book, this one sustains itself and adds crucial elements to Han's backstory. Oh, and some eyebrow raising details about Hutt lifestyles.
