Summary: A world of dragons, dazzling magic, and unique Characters
Review: Follow the companions from the Inn of the Last Home on an adventure to the lost city of Xak Tsaroth to retrieve the discs of Mishakal. Thrill when the heroes face all kinds of danger, from draconians to a black dragon. Experience the wonders of magic as a world of unicorns, elves, and powerful magics open for your eyes. Probably the best books in the Dragonlance series.

Summary: Phenomanal
Review: When I bought the original trilogy box set, I read all the Chronicals in one week. These books are a masterpieces' of action with a touch of philosophy thrown in to make you think. They give you unmatchable fighting scenes and full characters. These books are worht reading more than once. They deal with friendship, love, sacrifice, and above all else, good vs. evil.

Summary: NOW, THAT'S A SERIES YOU'LL WANT TO BUY!!!
Review: I bought the 1st novel in the Dragonlance Chronicles. I read it. I became the biggest fan of Dragonlance and now I try to keep up with every new book Weis & Hickman writes. They're just GREAT!!! I never enjoyed so much reading a book! I LOVE this series! You start reading and get into a so magical and exciting world... you'll never want to stop reading! It has what every book should have: beautiful descriptions of places, characters.. it is EXCITING... it is funny... I just wish Maragaret & Tracy will keep writing great books as the Dragonlance Chronicles. By the way: if you play AD&D and haven't read the Chronicles yet - be ashamed!!! It's the mother of all fantasy books! Tolkien has some serious competition here! I TRUELY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK. Email me if you have doubts..

Summary: WEIS AND HICKMAN GO WHERE NO MAN HAS GONE BEFORE!!!
Review: Perfect. That's how the Dragonlance Chronicles should be described. Just perfect. This series is just a collection the greatest fantasy books ever written. While reading the Dragonlance Chronicles you will mostly feel like getting pulled into the unique, imaginary Advanced Dungeons & Dragons (tm) world of Krynn. Weis & Hickman's beautiful use of words makes you "sink" in the book, and never want to leave. The Dragonlance Chronicles tell about a bunch of different characters who has the heavy weight of saving Krynn on their well built shoulders. They have to work together as a well oiled machine if they want to succeed, and for doing that they'll have to first get over their doubts of other member of the group. They have such a depth, you will think they are real and alive! The Chronicles is full of action. The Dragonlance Chronicles series is also very funny some times (Fizban and Tas are just GREAT!). With Dragonlance you will travel with Tanis, Karamon, Raistlin and others all over Krynn. With Dragonlance you will fight evil monsters and clever dragons. Drgaonlance is like a long dream... with exotic places, interesting characters, beautiful dragons and frightening zombies. With Dragonlance I had surely had the most exciting reading experience. That's why I read all the first 3 books six times (no kidding). It's a lot of fun every single time I read it. I WARMLY RECOMMEND IT! I'd score it 9.9. Why 9.9 and not 10? Because Dragonlance ends... that's the only BAD thing in it. Keep up the EXCELLENT work, Margaret and Tracy!!! BTW: I'm sorry if I made mistakes with the characters' names, I read only the HEBREW version.... :-

Summary: Far beyond the ends of greatness!
Review: I'd have to say that the adventures of the adventurers in these dragonlance novels are worthy of two thumbs up from any critic

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The most compelling and "realistic" fantasy novels ever!
Review: How can a fantasy novel be "realistic?" Well, Weis and Hickman have managed to create characters of such depth that they become alive. In Raistlin, the authors fashioned a character who embodies both good and evil. Either through its emotional depth or through its captivating plot, Chronicles touches all of its readers in some way. Once you start reading page one, look forward to a sleepless night. You will read the entire tome in one sitting!

Summary: The Chronicles are the best fantasy novels ever!
Review: J.R.R. Tolkien has some major competition to deal with! The Chronicles are without a doubt the best fantasy books written since Tolkien, if not better! The Chronicles Trilogy captures the very essence of fantasy. It has non-stop action and adventure, tons of magic and dragons, and even a little romance. The Companions of the Lance are described so well, you'd think they were real people! Raistlin Majere is the all time best fantasy character (even better then the great Gandalf himself)! He is a little bit of all of us (though we may not like to admit it). In Raistlin we see ourselves and the ultimate meaning of Epic Fantasy. I can't think of a better series to recommend (unless it's by Tolkien). I assure you, you won't be dissapointed

Summary: By the Gods of Kryyn, this is the best series of book ever!
Review: Pretty Good? No, no, no, it REALLY dAMN GOOD! The best? It's beyond the best. It's unanimous, humans, elves, ogres, dwarves, kender, gnomes, dragons, and minotaurs all say thumbs up to life on Kryyn.

Summary: This is simply the BEST!
Review: This trilogy cannot be compared. It stands unparalled (with exception to the Legends trilogy that is!). These two authors(Weis & Hickman) have captivated my attention for the last 10 years. I hate them for it too, because every book that I have read since then pales in comparison.

I accidentally stumbled across this trilogy. Having just finished the David Eddings' Belgariad series (not that bad in its own right), I wandered the local Waldenbooks in search of a good science fiction book. Sitting on the top shelf stood this massive book(Collector's Edition) with a decent picture on the cover. Being a 7th grade twelve year-old, I didn't actually realize how much 15 dollars was, so I purchased it. Believe me, it turned out to be the best 15 dollars that I have EVER spent. This book has been purchased again since then because of the amount of times that I have studied this 'Bible'. Without doubt, this trilogy is the core of all Dragonlance books and which I refer to as The 'Bible' of DL.

In closing, I would like to encourage anyone who hasn't read it to do so. It IS the greatest escape that reading can offer. Weis & Hickman created a world where the characters(Tas, Tanis, Raist, etc.) capture a piece of us which we can never forget. I'm now 22, and I still haven't forgotten. In case you're reading, THANK YOU Margaret and Tracy.
(Now how did that fireball spell go?)

Summary: Very cool reissue of the original Dragonlance trilogy
Review: All three of the original "Dragonlance Chronicles" are here in this massive one volume set. Think of it as a kind of Bible for The Dragonlance world. It starts out with many mysteries; like why two constellations are missing from the sky, whare did this new race of lizard men come from, and who is this guy that keeps popping up from time to time? There are many, many more questions, but you'll have to read the books to find out more, and also some of the answeres. The cast is a mixed bag, some are very interesting, and some are little more than a sterotype. The leader of the Compainions (as they are refered to in the books) is Tanis Half-Elven. He is moody and somber, very resentful of his heritiage, ok but not my favorite. Next we have the twins, Caramon the fighter and Raistlin the sickly yet extreamly powerful mage (by far the most interesting character in the series). A very fatherly Dwarf named Flint Fireforge (every team needs it cynic, but he's alright). There is also Strum Brightblade, who cares more about the letter of the law than the spirit. And one I love a lot, Tasselhoff Burrfoot, a Kinder who "picks up lost items"; he isn't a theif, really, just very curious. I loved his childlike wonder of the world. All the Compainins band together to fight evil Queen Tarkisis, a Dragon God who wants her Dragons and Draconians (magicly altered dragons shaped like men) to eventually take the world for her. She is aided by Kitiara, one time lover of Tanis Half-Elven, and her lieutenant the dreaded (and kind of spooky) Lord Soth. The only thing that can destroy the Queen's dragons are fabled dragonlances, wepons made of powerful magic that has been missing for eons. Dragonlance consists of many quests, rescue missions, and narow escapes that are so traditional in heroic fantasy, they are all there, traditional but exciting. The insperation for these storys are obvious; first of all the very populor role playing game "Duneons and Dragons", and also J.R.R. Tolkin's "Lord of the Rings" novels. I have the feeling that Tracy Hickman and Margaret Weis are trying too hard to copy the poetic verse of the Tolkin noveles, and sometimes it can be hard to wade through. But the story itself is incredible, and it should be a great stamp on fantasy for years to come. The "Annotated Chronicles" has many side bars for those interested in what the authors were thinking and what they have to say about this scene or that character. Very interesting. All in all, this is a very cool set of novels, and essential for any fans of Ansalon and Krynn.
