Rating: Summary: Is it really as bad as people make it out to be? Review: I honestly thought this was the best book in the series (It is by far my personal favorite). Most reviews on here tend to shoot it down as long, drawn-out, and boring. It really just depends on your reading interests. I thought that it was very cleverly written and had some great twists (Zombies with guns, that was great ^_^). Perry did an excellent job using the characters from the first RE game and she kept their personalities in tact, which is an amazing thing in itself. Even better, she didn't make Rebecca as sappy as she was in the game (Though the game wouldn't have been the same without her way-too enthusiastic cheerleader-type voice). I believe Perry did a great job writing this book and should be given credit for great writing. It's always better to read original works than rewritten works or works written based on something (Though her adaptations of the games were excellent). This book really does deserve 5 stars, and I suggest anyone who is a fan of the series read it.
Rating: Summary: Wow Much Better Review: This bok is much better then the first Resident Evil book. First of all SD Perry is not bounded by a script form a computergame and she's more free. er writing has become more independent and her fantasy more real. Overall it's a god book, and if the like the Zombie world that George A Romero or HP Lovecraft or any of those writers. You'll love this one. So have fun Reading
Rating: Summary: Good, Considering Review: This book is shot down by alot of people for various reasons, reasons that I do not share with them. I personally thought that this was a great book, sure, not as good as the first or the third, but it has a few personal twists in it. The thing that most people dont like is either the slight hint of romance, or the fact that the zombies could fire rifles. But when you think about it, its not really the same virus, so, in turn, the effects wont be the same either. I would recomend this book to anyone who like the first one.
Rating: Summary: Da Bomb!!!!!!!! Review: These books are awesome!!! I have read them all. They give you a better foresight into Resident evil, giving you more information and a better view of things. These books have everything. These are definite, must read books for Resident Evil fans. Heck even if you aren't a Resident Evil fan you will be after you read these. And the best thing about the books are that they aren't exactly like the game. I recommend these books to everyone.
Rating: Summary: the worst in the whole series so far Review: Ther's not alot to say about this book. The book was just to boring to deserve a better grade. All of s.d.perrys books were awsome of course exept for caliban cove. Mrs perry just failed to keep me exited unlike her other resident evil books.the descriptions were not as efective as the others. The story itself was pretty bad. I mean zombies with machine guns come on. They can hardly walk on there own legs how are they going to use machine guns. Even though it is the worst book in the series you should still read it to follow along with the series.
Rating: Summary: The most boring book in the series Review: Unlike RE1 the book got exciting about 150 pages through. The enemies were about a couple of zombies with guns and a monster in the cove. The enemies were the Dullest in the series. Only reson I gave it a okay reveiw is that it has more suspense then the first book.
Rating: Summary: This book is ..........not as good as first one Review: This book isnt as good as the first one because the characters were different and i think it would have been more interesting if Jill /chris and Barry were in it , i suggest u read the first one and if u want to read the whole series, then read it,if not ,skip it and go on city of the dead.. which i didnt read yet!
Rating: Summary: Less reviews for this book than the first, I wonder why? Review: There's less people to review this second book than the first because a lot of people probably stopped reading Perry's version of what happened to Raccoon City. The book was boring; Perry thought up some new but very lame idease to contribute to Resident Evil. Perry neither knows how to terrify nor draw a reader's interest (according to the Resident Evil novels).
Rating: Summary: Resident Evil 2: Caliban Cove Review: This book stinks, the plot is long and way too descriptive. It feels more like a history book of Caliban Cove than a suspenseful novel. I would not recommmend this book, stick with the ones based on the games (#1, 3, 5).
Rating: Summary: A book better that the games Review: This book might look boring but it's not. O.K. you might be thinking that I would play a video game anyday instead of reading a book. But this is the oppisite, the collection of Resident Evil books are even better that the game. They keep you reading about something really interesting. The books are great to read and your parents will be happy your reading so if you want a real thrill then read resident evil-caliban cove.
