Summary: AN EXCELLENT ORIGINAL TALE OF SURVIVAL HORROR!
Review: This book was as great as the first, and had the same feel!I'm not sure how to explain, but the zombies having guns didn't ruin anything,as some have thought..Also,I like how S.D. kept the puzzle tradition, and making her own was quite clever, and especially the role they played in the story, which was a trademark of the Resident Evil Plot (Go through several small puzzles, just to solve one big puzzle overall). It was sadly realistic, with the deaths of Karen and Steve, going only to show that S.D. isn't one to sacrifice realism for a completely happy ending. It was just wonderful.I look foward to reading the next two, which I have recently ordered...This is definitely one to have if you liked the first!

Summary: Original and spectacular
Review: I wasnt sure at first when i got Calbian Cove been a Resident evil fanatic and after reading the Umbrella conspiracys i was not certain wether or not SD Perry could write a totally original story based on the franchise. But fears vanished when i started actually reading the story is an original and compelling idea were the Tvirus is capable of controlling people not just turning them into zombies. The story has many twists one of the best is where one of the members of S.T.A.R.S becomes infected but enough on that. Cove sees Rebecca from the first book and game as she battles alongside new S.T.A.R.S members to stop a mad man from unleashing the dreadful t-virus. I think it was good of S.D Perry to use Rebecca because i feel she in the first book had very little part to play. The other characthers range from been really original to extremely boring. If i had any major complaint about this book it would be the creatures they are all pretty bad apart from the Zombies with machine guns but the others are rubbish and seem to me to be a bit over the top. While over the top may sound stupid coming from a series like Resident Evil i feel that the author must try and stay faithful to the original creatures like the Hunters and so on. Anyhow enough blabbering on what iam trying to say is buy this book because it is trully fantastic

Summary: Resident Evil: Caliban Cove
Review: By. S.D. Perry
Reviewed BY: J. KIM
Period:Period 1

In this book, the basic things that go on is a chemical leak called with a chemical called the T-Virus, a virus that changes living organisms into living nightmares, like zombies. It all starts out with scattered S.T.A.R.S (Special Tactics And Rescue Squad)finding out that Umbrella, the biological weapons organization is building yet another chemical lab to test out their new virus, the G-Virus. As the story goes on, it starts with a rough landing on Caliban Cove, where a turn of events hold horror and the terrible secret that Umbrella has been hiding from the civilians of Racoon City (along with the S.T.A.R.S... But towards the end, two of the members of the S.T.A.R.S end up contracting with the virus and being lost to the human race forever. And finally, the terrible secret is revealed, only causing the S.T.A.R.S to be framed as chemical weapons smugglers for the past chemical leaks that Umbrella has done not quite on accident by their own leaders and trainers; because in Racoon City, there is no one to trust...
In my own opinion, I think that this book was really interesting and a classic thriller. Basically, this book is perfect and there is no reason for me not to like this book because this book is technically perfect .I'd also recommend a reader who is hungry for action to not only read Caliban Cove, but other titles in the series of Resident Evil!
Many people would challenge my opinion and ask me why there would be no reason to hate this book. But to prove that I may be right, I'll include two quotes from Caliban Cove:
1. The head had caved in like a rotting pumpkin, teeth shattered, gummy flecks of tissue radiating out from behind the skull.(This proves how much of a thrill this book is)
2.It seemed that Umbrella had found a new application with the T-Virus; and like it or not, were going to have to deal with the consequences. (This proves how much suspense this book holds in store for any readers)
My favorite part in this book was when the S.T.A.R.S team landed on Caliban Cove and the surprise that they got. It was pretty funny how the S.T.A.R.S. reacted when they saw the mutilated body as described on quote #1 on the doorway! My least favorite part was when Karen, a member of the S.T.A.R.S. gets infected with the virus and later on dies. I mean, that part really stank! So in conclusion, I'd say that this book is a hit and can really be a great book if you are interested in horror, thrill, action, and suspense!

Summary: More zombies, more puzzles, more fun.
Review: Caliban Cove is the first original novel based on the survival horror storyline from the popular Resident Evil games. Author S.D. Perry deserves kudos for delivering the expected goods and keeping them fresh, threatening, and interesting. The story picks up shortly after the events at the Spencer Mansion have concluded and the surviving S.T.A.R.S. members disgraced by the slimy tentacles of the Umbrella Corporation. Adding insult to injury is the discovery that their own organization is a part of the monstrous conspiracy. Raccoon City S.T.A.R.S. team member Rebecca Chambers joins up with a Maine based branch that is intent on digging up evidence of Umbrella's misdeeds at the company's Caliban Cove facility. What the team does not know is that the unstable scientist in charge of the research there has become completely detached from reality, creating an army of zombies and monsters and a plan to infect the world with a stronger, airborne variant of the T-Virus.

The pace of the book is every bit as quick as The Umbrella Conspiracy, but it reads far better. More like a story than a playing out of a video game's puzzles and obstacles in narrative form. Perry shows she has both a solid grip on the ideas and concepts that drive the games as well as a talent for expanding those into an entirely new story without loosing touch with what makes the universe of the Resident Evil games so addictive for its numerous fans. Highly recommended.

Summary: Resident Evil:Caliban Cove,book review
Review: Death, destruction, mayhem are many of teh events that occur in my book,"Reident Evil:Caliban Cove." I thoroughly enjoyed reading S.D. Perry's novel, its 242 pages were very suspenseful, and action filled."Resident Evil:Caliban Cove" takes place in Maryland on a shore-sided chemical facility that has been involved in many chemical related accidents and the S.T.A.R.S. (special tactics and rescue team) is sent in to investigate these accidents.Rebecca,Steve,David,Karen,Barry make up the S.T.A.R.S. team and Dr.Griffith, trisquads, are the chemical facilities main characters. The S.T.A.R.S. discover that Umbrella (teh chemical company) is using a virus, of some genetic means,to make bio-weapons of destruction. While investigating the S.T.A.R.S. encounter many of Umbrella's bio-weapons and they discover that the T-virus is what is producing these grotesque monsters. The T-virus however infects on of the S.T.A.R.S. members and the uninfected members of S.T.A.R.S. try to find a cure for the T-virus,while trying to stay alive and they uncover a hideous plot within the Umbrella company's employee, Dr.Griffith.1 "golden line" in "Resident Evil:Caliban Cove" is when Barry says,"These monsters are the creation of a mad man that is just is just as hyness as his bio-weapons."The cover of "Resident Evil:Caliban Cove" portrays Rebecca of the S.T.A.R.S. running while shooting at one of the the bio-weapons created by the T-virus.The title means that evil is a resident in Caliban Cove.I would reccomend this book to anyone who has played the video game in which this novel is based upon, anyone who enjoys the game will enjoy this book. If you are new person to the Resident Evil series you might find this novel hard to get, but it has a great plot and it is just what a person looking for a suspenseful horror novel, you will find that "Resident Evil:Caliban Cove" will satisfy any horror novel fan or Resident Evil fan.

Summary: Caliban Cove
Review: Caliban Cove is a fresh look into the Resident Evil world, which shows us what is happening to the characters that are involved with Umbrella - Outside those that are in the game. A Fantastic read that keeps you going and going untill you finish, filled with suspense and twists, in the plot. If you pick this up you wont put it down until all 242 pages are over. S.D. Perry has done a great job in bringing the Resident Evil world closer to home.

Summary: Great book read it right through.
Review: I only put it down once, to use the restroom, other than that I started reading about 1:30 am and finished about 5:00 am.

Very good book, probably should of read it second though.

I read #1 first, then #3 second, then #5 third, then #2 fourth, now I have to read number 4.

well I read the 1,3,5 in game order anyway :) the other two are really non-game stories so it doesn't quite matter i guess as long as I read 2 first (done) and then 4 second. Have to go get four now. These books are great, and a must have for any resident evil fan.

Summary: The first original Resident Evil novel
Review: Caliban Cove is the second installment in the Resident Evil novelization series and the first original work of the series written by S.D. Perry. After the events of Umbrella Conspiracy, Caliban Cove serves as an interlude between the events of Umbrella Conspiracy and City of the Dead, with Rebecca Chambers (one of the survivors of Umbrella Conspiracy) teaming up with fellow S.T.A.R.S. operatives and infiltrating a lighthouse base where more grotesque Umbrella experiments are being conducted. Naturally, everything goes wrong, people die, and blood runs like water. Caliban Cove has it's share of unexpected twists and turns, but it just isn't as compelling as the previous and proceeding novels. Although this isn't the worst in Perry's series of novelizations (that would belong to Underworld), don't walk into this one with too high expectations.

Summary: Great Original Story
Review: I was a little wary of this book as it was not based on any of the games, but I was pleasantly surprised to find it was just as good as the first book. The story starts where the first book left off, and now the STARS team are outlaws searching for a way to expose the Umbrella corperation. There is a great gun fight near the beginning, and then the gang deside to split up, Rebbeca leaves with another group of renegade STARS and ends up at Caliban Cove, another research facility for Umbrella. The book gives a much better insight to the character of Rebbeca changing her from the teenage rookie we thought she was into the heroin.

Summary: Rebecca's the best!
Review: Another good one written by S.D. Perry, and the first all original! How do I describe the feeling of this tale? Definitely creepy, especially when Rebecca Chambers told fellow STARS about spooky Dr. Nicolas Griffith deliberately infecting three men with what they expected to be a harmless cold virus, but instead terrible Marburg. Surprisingly, he proved to be quite subtle, despite being a mad genius. Rebecca is by far my favorite character, for many of the same reasons I liked Claire from RE #6, C: V, she is an altogether decent person. Finished (Trust me, I'll read it again!) on May 7th, 2003.
