Rating: Summary: space opera for a rainy day Review: An enjoyable sequel focusing on different characters than Deathstalker. This book focuses more on the politics of the Imperial Court and her Imperial Majesty Lionstone XIV. The plot is splitting into many possible directions and I estimate at least two more sequels, possibly more. I would recommend reading Deathstalker first. The 'space opera' in this book is definitely above average.

Rating: Summary: A second helping of a swashbuckling good time! Review: Another adventure of Owen Deathstalker and his band of not-so merry outcasts attempting to take on the Empress and the Empire all at once, with the usual space-opera intermingled thanks to the always enjoyable aristocrat families. Good fun for all sci-fi enthusiasts.
Rating: Summary: Deathstalker Rebellion is really, really cool! Review: Deathstalker Rebellion is one of the greatest sci-fi books of our time! It has intrigue, suspense, and other cool things. Buy it!
Rating: Summary: Good stuff Review: Green excells himself with this second installment in the Owen Deathstalker saga. Definitely a Space Opera with very obvious sword and swashbuckling influences, this book helps transform Owen Deathstalker and his band into characters of interest.

Rating: Summary: Decent read, not as good as it's predecessor in the series. Review: I really enjoyed the first book in this series, but was not
as enthusiastic about this.... the second of what looks to be at eventually at least a four or five set. It seemed in
places the major effort was to establish something to do in
books 3, 4, etc. etc. The stories of weaker characters were
blown up (filling space) and the stronger characters were pushed back for 'later filling space'. Ah well...I suspect
Tor, the publisher, had a lot to do with this, trying to generate another cash cow like Jordan's series, or to a much lesser degree, the Black Company series.

Rating: Summary: Great Space Opera Review: If you can skim through the worst of Simon Green's wordiness, you'll do all right with this book - the meat of the story is worth it. Hazel, Owen, Finlay, Ruby, Jack, Silence, Frost and the others are still developing as characters in interesting ways. The encounter with the Ghost Warriors is especially chilling, as is the Grendel Alien(s). Great read for those who favor sci-fi over fantasy.
