Summary: In one word: PITIFUL!
Review: I am a huge Star Wars fan and I have read every SW book there is, and this is one of the worst. I don't know how I ever made it through all 341 pages. If you want a real Star Wars novel, try Heir to the Empire or Specter of the Past.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: it was ok but it needed more action
Review: the story itself was really cool, i loved the idea behind the book but it lacked in action scenes it also had to much politics. well i did likes the small relationship bewteen luke and gaeri that was cool

Summary: A solid Star Wars story
Review: There have been so many below-par Star Wars books published that I refuse to tear this one up for being merely competent. "Truce at Bakura" is a solid story taking place moments after "Return of the Jedi" ends and does not make the glaring errors that other authors do. It's not as good as Zahn or Stackpole but I can honestly say that Kathy Tyers is my favorite female Star Wars author.

Read this novel before considering the distasteful books by Anderson, Hambly and Jeter.

Summary: Love it!
Review: Leia seems to hate the idea of Vader being her dad, and she doesn't want anyone to know it. But Han is there for her the whole time, she wiil be okay.

Summary: A good idea but bad writing.
Review: I did not like this book ,although, I love all the new ships and the new characters. The aliens and there ship were very cool. The book started very well, but as the went on the plot nearly end and everyone just sat around. As the book neared the end the story got more interesting, but there was know reason for the alien retreat. They had lost there flag ship but they still could have defeated the rebels and the empire. They should scrap this book and have Timothy Zahn rewrite it.

Review: This bookie is great! you should read it now

Summary: This Book ROCKS!!!!
Review: This book, in my opinion, is unmatched! Kathy Tyers really got into to the character's heads. Luke seemed more human. She also did something that few have been able to do, the villains are kinda scary. They have mind control and can even turn humans into droids. Creepy.

And no, Gaeriel isn't Mara Jade, but she's a pretty cool character anyway. She's realistic and though while it's hard to get her to like you, once you do she is really loyal.

Leia is neat to see because in most books she just seems to accept Darth Vader being her dad. But here, she struggles with it. She doesn't want to accept it. And Han is there, and he's supporting her.

The beginning is a little hard to get through, but if you can get through the Crystal Star, you can get through anything. Stick in there, it's worth it!

Summary: Please wake me up when its over!
Review: This book was way over rated. It was so boring I actually looked forward to falling asleep. I think if you read this book you really have to be into Star Wars.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A very good Star Wars book!
Review: I really enjoyed The Truce at Bakura. I think it's cool how it happens right after Return of the Jedi. It has a good plot and some great new characters, as well as developing the old favorites into recognizable people. I loved it!

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Fairly interesting new plot developments.
Review: If I have to pick one part of this book that I didn't really like, it would have to be that there aren't enough instances where the Force is used. Also, the Ssi-Ruuk are pretty weird and hard to believe. I mean come on, out of nowhere some all-powerful alien race just arrives and threatens the entire galaxy and the New Republic and Empire must join forces to defeat them!? That downplays the movies by making it look like the Empire is weak. But, there are some good points in this book. I won't give them away, just read the book if you are a Star Wars fan.
