Summary: Let's just say this book ROCKS!
Review: I've read some of the other Star Wars books, and they've all been boring.THIS one, however... The whole book was really interesing, funny, emotional, in-depth, etc., a masterpiece. This is not just my favorite Star Wars book or science fiction book, but my favorite book of all time. Kathy, PLEASE write another book.

Summary: Very addictive
Review: These 2 casettes you'll want to listen without a break. Great !

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Not the Best Star Wars Book.
Review: While perhaps worth reading if you enjoy Star Wars, this book was slow, boring, and contradictory.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Passive book, but let's see you try to write for SW!
Review: I am an all time Star Wars junkie and will read anything I can get my hands on that is titled Star Wars. While Truce at Bakura isn't the best of SW novels, it still is an SW novel!! I say here, here! All you would be writers out there give it a try. I did, and its extremely difficult to write the kind of novel Star Wars truly deserves. I found T at B to be extremely elaborate in detail. Sometimes this helped but most of the time it slowed the pace of the book. I can usually finish a SW novel in about three days if it flows well. This one took two weeks. This reviewer gives it good marks for originality, but not so good for readability. Still if you come away with the basic premise of the story then it was worth the read and will add to your perception of the Star Wars universe.

P.S. When are we going to see more of Callista and Luke? END

Summary: Read the Truce at Bakura
Review: This is a really great book kept alive with the aliens Star Wars fans have grown to appreciate i.e. Ssi-Ruuk. The plot is brilliant the way they find the message is great Loved Wedge. Who ever is dissing Kevin J. Anderson for giving an awesome charecter a higher rank is stupid.

Summary: Wow!
Review: If you don't like this book, you're crazy. This has got to be one of the best Star Wars books there is. Listen, I know what I'm talking about. And about the complaint that she kept referring to Luke as a blond, he is a blond. He certainly doesn't have brown or red hair. It is sort of a dirty-blond color. And about the complaint that said that Luke was to puppy-something, I can't remember, he was still young, remember. He was only 18 when he blew up the first Death Star, and not much time happened between those books in the trilogy. The movies took several years each to make. Only a month or two passed between the stories. He couldn't possibly be more than 20 in The Truce at Bakura. Some people have it all wrong. (and for anybody's info., I'm 13, and I'm a girl.) (Sometimes I wonder if the authors and/or George Lucas come on here and see what everybody's written.) Well, I think the author really did well. This is a masterpiece. END

Summary: This book is great!
Review: This book is a great continuance of the Star Wars movies. It was the first Star Wars book that I ever read. I enjoyed the way that it picked up where Return of the Jedi finished.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A great book for both beginners and seasoned fans.
Review: Taking place immediately following Return of the Jedi, this thrilling novel answers the question of 'Well, what next?' A great book for anyone who is just starting out into the novel world of Star Wars, because it doen't require any understanding of other books. Yet, even a seasoned fan will enjoy the subtle references to familiar characters and events. It stays away from the superweapon aspect of most books and still remains exciting. Kathy incorporates romance, mild humor, adventure and suspense into a thrilling ride with numerous plot turns. A definate must for any Star Wars fan!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A fun trip into a galaxy far, far away
Review: This was actually the first of the Bantam Star Wars novels I read, the one that got me started. It was a fun story with a neat premise (the rebels and imperials teaming up to repel a mutal threat,) and introduced Luke's first potenial girlfriend who wasn't an unkwown family member. It was fun, had intrigue and action, and it was nice having the ghost of Anikan Skywalker seeking his daughter's forgiveness. One quibble, and a minor one at that - Wedge Antillies is a "commander" not a "captain," a rank he kept until some idiot unleashed Kevin Anderson onto the Star Wars universe.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Amazing! Luke Skywalker flirting?
Review: I think the author totally messed up in making Luke flirt with Gariel Captison. Even if he did decide to do any flirting,(which would be a pretty big event on its own), he wouldn't flirt with an Imperial senator who hates Jedi. Dev Sibbwarra was a brainwashed idiot who was just a slave, so why does he get Jedi powers? The Ssi-ruuk were very lame villians.
