Summary: This was the most awesome adaption of doom ever!
Review: This book is the kind of book that keeps you on the edge of your seat. The author actually makes the story believable, and even scary in some places. A little confusing if you don't pay attention, but really interesting. I'd put it up there with the Lord of the Rings Trilogy.

Summary: I love this book, hell I can quote it
Review: This book was the first book that caught my eye as books go. The element of the book that I like so much is that the action starts early in the book. The way the authors could introduce a good story line, as well as all the violence, and gore, and all the other things that people would be looking for in a doom series.

If I could I would give this book five and a half stars.

Summary: Better than any Doom PC game ever!!!
Review: At first I was sceptical, when my friend told me that this book was better than the game, but he convinced me to read the first chapter and I became engrosed in the book. I read it for atleast two hours everday before I went to bed. Though the game does draw you in with action, the books add characters and add detail that no PC game has ever managed to do. I am only 15 and the fact that most people won't go by my opinion due to my age is annoying; however, if you do trust my judgement then you'll really enjoy this book for yourself...espescially if your a Doom fan.

Summary: Duke Nukem, Eat Your Heart Out
Review: I've played the game, but this book beats it all. Brad & Dafydd take elements of the game withuot destroying it. The wonderful plot with the combination of characters makes this book a real winner. If you like this book check out the rest of the seris.

Summary: This book is simply the best video-game adaption ever.
Review: I first read this book when my friend brought it over to my house on a weekend. I picked it up and couldn't put it down for a good few hours until I finished it. I was already a big fan of the game (I own it for the PlayStation), and this book put an interesting and engrossing twist on the plot, giving it some direction so it wouldn't be a stupid, no-brain shoot-and-loot. Fly's thoughts and incessant ramblings throughout the game were a funny touch, and finding Arlene in the book was emotional and neccessary to the storyline. All this came together to make this book the best one I have ever read. The others were great, too. Buy them!

Summary: This book is the best video-game novelization ever!!!
Review: OK. This is the one that started it all. This book is easily the best novelization of a video game ever (I love the game to, I hve the PSX version), and my favorite book ever. You can truly feel the emotions of Fly and Arlene as the romp through the demon-infested moons of Phobos and Deimos. It follows the game very closely and the humor is friggin' hilarious from begginning to end. The other books (Hell on Earth, Infernal Sky, and Endgame) aren't quite as good, Infernal Sky being last, Hell on Earth and Endgame tied for second. Either way, get the entire series, it's a pulse-pounding adventure from start to end.

Summary: Decent
Review: I enjoyed this book almost as much as I enjoy playing the video game. I did feel it tried a bit too much to include elements from the game, however, and that led to its being a little ridiculous and tedious. Let's face it, the video game does not have a very good narrative structure and it takes some doing to try to make a story from it. The authors didn't succeed as well as one could have, but with this book, they did okay. My gripe is yet to come in my reviews of the next two, however.

Summary: A surprisingly brilliant book!
Review: I liked the game Doom, but I thought that a book based on nothing but meaningless violence would have been terrible. I was wrong! This book was facinating! I couldn't put it down. I couldn't wait to see what awaited for Fly around the next corner. Can't wait to read the next book! If you ever played the game Doom (or even if you haven't) get this now!
