Rating: Summary: COOL BOOK Review: I have only read this book in the series. I liked the characters expecially Flynn Taggart.
Rating: Summary: Excellent story, and awesome characters... Review: This book, like the others in it series, was an excellent book. The author did an awesome job of researching how a Marine thinks and acts, and he portrayed that in this book. I'm a fan of the game by ID, and i've put many hours in it, but i found myself beside the Corporal through his journies to find Private Sanders, killing "re-worked" pals, imps, and demons on his path to rescue his recon buddy. If there's any book i would buy two copies of, one to read and one to store, it would be this book, and all the others in it's series. Daffyd Ab Hugh also did a good job of keeping you interested in the next book, by cutting each one off in a suspensful point. A point so suspenseful you couldn't help but put one book down to pick up the next. I can't share the excitement for this series, you have to read it for yourself.
Rating: Summary: Violently Graphic, and I Love It. Review: This is my report on the book entitled Doom:Knee-Deep in the Dead It was a very graphicly incorrect. It was just how well into detail it put every word in. It was the best book I ever read. I wanted to finish reading the book, no matter how long it took me, I finished in two days. To finish, Doom: Knee-Deep in the Dead is a book, very wildly graphic book, that I propose you to read.
Rating: Summary: Better than the game itself! Review: This book is better than the Doom game itself! It's a very exciting and action-paced book. It's just like the game and contains everything in it, except it's better! The story and the descriptions of the events are very detailed and easy to understand! This is a must have if you like 3d shooter games and have Doom!
Rating: Summary: The Best of the DOOM Novel Series! Review: Of all four DOOM novels, none of them can top "Knee-Deep in the Dead". It has everything a sci-fi action novel should have; lots of action, suspense, drama, and even a little bit of humor. The main character, Flynn "Fly" Taggart, is very enjoyable. He's a tough guy, but he's no super hero, so you can relate to him. However, his buddy, Arlene Sanders, annoys me. But, still, this book is grand. If you loved "Aliens", you'll love this book. That's my two cents.
Rating: Summary: DOOM: KNEE-DEEP IN THE DEAD: A "DAMNED" GOOD BOOK Review: THE FIRST OF THE DOOM NOVELS, AND MY PERSONAL FAVORITE. IF YOU WANT A GOOD BOOK, THIS IS FOR YOU! ACTION, HUMOR, HORROR,SUSPENSE, AND EVEN BOOBIES ARE IN THIS BOOK! IF YA FINDS IT, BUY IT! ALSO GET THE SEQUELS: HELL ON EARTH, THE THIRD ONE WHOSE NAME I FORGOT, AND ENDGAME.
Rating: Summary: AWESOME! Review: THIS BOOK WAS AWESOME! AFTER ONE CHAPTER I JUST COULDN'T PUT THE BOOK DOWN. THIS BOOK WAS DEFINITELY ONE OF THE BEST IN THE SERIES.
Rating: Summary: Overall Good Review: This book is great. You can understand it if you have played the game or not. I was expecting the game in words, but it was more. It added a stroyline to the game. If you like Dune, Star Trak, or Star Wars, you will like this book. I have read it 5 times!!!
Rating: Summary: "Awesome" is the only word you can use describe this book. Review: If you're into Sci-Fi space marines battling aliens on distant planets, this is your book. It's the first novel in a series of four. The only thing I hated about it was that I was aggravated when I finished.
Rating: Summary: I love it Review: This review is non-disputable. The book was awesome, period. I loved the way it did the first person, and described things. I didn't go into the book thinking that it should be like the game either. Its a story, a good story. Has bits and pieces of the game in it, but I don't expect it to be THE GAME. Maybe a few of you understand what I am trying to say, I know a few don't. Overall, 5 stars. The book was great, and I enjoyed reading it. If I can catch up to my freind who "borrowed" it after a year, I will read it again. I liked the writing style too. I read this book in like 8 hrs. It was awesome, I just couln't put it down.
