Review: This book is just as good as any critiques claims, it is a "many splendored blockbuster epic" ~Chicago Sun-Times ~, or perhaps even better! The more you read the more addictive you will become to this book. Snow Queen will make you fall into their world and want to be part of it.Snow Queen is unlike any other science fiction; it has a deeper story and a more sophisticate plot. Its author gives her readers the kind of detail descriptions that no one else has done before, the words she uses is like a beautiful written poem, it only will make you want to read more, at the same time it catches your heart with the softest touch. Of course, an astonishing description without a good story line is nothing but a waste. Nevertheless, Snow Queen includes it all. Snow Queen is a story that full of conspiracies, it gives each character a distinguish personality. In the story, the queen, Snow Queen, tries to use her own clone, Moon, to prevent the change of season, summer, and tries to use Moon to keep her own power. At the end, a surprise strikes everyone around the queen; include her own clone, Moon, and Moon's lover, Spark. Surprises will only continues rise up to readers until the last page of the story. If you are a science fiction-lover, it will be an absolute entertainment, it's a worth reading/ buying book!

Review: this book is simply the best sci fi i have ever read, even if i compare it to dune. vinge writes her novels in such a way so that it seems practical and yet complicated at the same time. her style of writing is vivid and yet not too descriptive. the whole plot is amazing. it's the kind of book that makes me think "god i wish i'd thought of this!" i recommend this book to everyone who enjoys sci-fi/fantasy novels, because it's a sure winner and i also agree that the series would make an AWESOME movie. is there anywhere i could recommend that and actually get a response! :) haha i wish! READ THIS BOOK!

Review: This book is the first science fiction novel I've ever been able to relate to, and really get into! Vinge is now one of my favorite authors, and it really depresses me that 'Summer Queen' is out of print, 'cuz I was really looking forward to reading it, once I knew it had been written!

Review: this is my all time favorite book! it is amazing. joans words gave me feelings. i felt like i was in the book my self! amazing! i made my friends read it and they loved it. this is the kind of book you have to just read over and over again... each time i read it i find out something new that i might of skipped over. everyone should read it. @_@ i love this book so much!

Summary: Brilliant
Review: This is one of my all time favorite books. I first read it almost 20 years ago in highschool and have read it at least once a year since then. It's fullscope imagery. Full of many things that really showcase the author's study of mythology, Anthropology, classic fairy tales and symbolism among other things. The characters are both archetypal and "real" and the settings are fascinating.

Summary: The snow queen
Review: This was an excellent book. I really liked the characters, primary and secondary, and thought that they were well-developed. The story saddened me somewhat: it DID NOT have an all together happy ending, but it satisfied nonetheless. I thought that it did a job of showing the effect corruption has on innocence, and the results that power can have on people.
