Rating: Summary: Compelling Review: I read the first book last year Brilliant and purchased this one directly afterwords and continued on, I started to think about it all the time, I have read most of the Star Wars series and a lot of others but this one simply blows your mind. If you only read two books this year read these two !!! It will probably take you the year!!! I would recommend this book to any one. To the author Please do not stop the series, This Realm is well thoughout and there is an unlimited number of possibilities to contiune, Possibility let other authors add on "Like Star Wars" Except make it a bit more intelligent than most of the Star Wars books. Why not make a "Motion Picture" ???? Regards reader P.S. Sorry about the spelling
Rating: Summary: one of the best "no-way you can put it down" reads in years Review: This is one of the best series that I have ever read. I have read sci fi for years and thought it would be a long time to wait for a new master to come a long and get one so involved in a story that purchase of all five of the series is mandatory. When I go to the book store and have to sift through all of the novel and series wanna be's it gets very frustrating to sift out the true gems. The Night Dawn series is one of the best. If you are tired of the StarTrek and StarWars rack fillers read this series with a comfortable chair and a favorite beverage because you will be there a while in spite of yourself.
Rating: Summary: Immaginative, compelling and coherent Review: The high-tech anticipation can be boring, especially straight space opera. As expected, the beginning of this book is a bit hard to swallow with its bitek/edenist/adamist/voidhawk/blackhawk/afinity things. But the story is rivetting and provides : a wide range scope of vision, a deep plot, interesting characters, humor, a writing that keeps the reader alert. I am addicted to the Night's Dawn Trilogy now. One critic, though : Sex fantasies in this book are fun as long as they are not too far fetched.
Rating: Summary: A great story set in a vivid universe! Review: I just finished reading this book, and I loved it. I love this entire series. The universe this series is set in is so real. I love it. I'm just sorry the storyline is being wrapped up in the next book. I just hope Hamilton doesn't give up on the universe he's so fleshed out in detail.
Rating: Summary: Awesome! story.. Review: Like anything else; Reality Disfunction / Neutronium Alchemist isn't for everyone.. If you're the type that really liked the deeper plot behind the movie THE MATRIX, can jump from story to story and keep a grasp on whats going on, and possibly an "affinity" for exploring.. Treat yourself to this group of books. I never liked, or seriously read any sci-fi but I'm eagerly awaiting the supposedly final book in early 2000
Rating: Summary: How could they wait till october for The Naked God?? Review: This book was one of the best science-fiction reads i've had in a long time. The series has been an on-going pleasure for me, and i can't Wait for the next book. The action sequenes are beautiful, and the characters are so well developed that you feel for them. Truely excellent writing. if you like sci-fi at all, pick this book up.
Rating: Summary: Star Wars meets the Excorcist on a scale of War and Peace Review: It's so engossing and addictive that I find myself going into withdrawal symptoms waiting for the next installment. One of those books that you can't stop reading, desperate to get to the end to see how it concludes. But also dreading finishing, because then the experience will be over and you can only wait for the part of the story.
Rating: Summary: Excellent series!! Review: So far this series has been nothing but enjoyable! Great ideas, characters (Reminds me of Stephen Donaldson) settings. Waiting eagerly for the last installment!. My suggestion to the author WRITE A BOOK ON THE MERCENARIES IN THE STORY! The mercenaries were awesome!
Rating: Summary: Even better second time around Review: this is the kind of book you can return to again and again, each time you get more out of it. Eagerly awaiting the (sob) final part
Rating: Summary: A very original group of ideas! Review: At first it was slow going...oh great, dead people coming back to life. Ho hum, this is science fiction? But there are slow real teaser ideas here that really began to grab me. What was the entity responsible for the original event? What happened to the aliens that destroyed their own habitats? What's the story with the Kinnt? What was the sleeping god found in space by the other sapient race? Also, the bad guy was right...where are all the rest of the human souls? I am anxiously awaiting "The Naked God" and hope I will find some answers. A great read!
