Rating: Summary: A must read book for the Fantasy readers Review: Raymond E. Feist was the author who got me hooked on reading fantasy novels. I haven't read many books but now I try to read as many fantasy novels as possible.
Rating: Summary: horrible Review: If you like Feist book's then you will not like this one. Under no cercomstances will you like this book. It was poorly written and extremly boring. Only get this book if have nothing to do and are bored.
Rating: Summary: A definate must read!!! Review: Raymond E. Feist is the author that drew me into the fantasy world, as soon as i read his first magician book, i was hooked, i have read every single one of his books, not only once, but several times each. The empire series is quite possibly the my favorite out of all of his series and books, if you like fantasy books at all, then you MUST read this one.
Rating: Summary: A glittering creation in science fiction Review: This book is the combination of two of science fiction best new talents. Raymond Feist countinuously molds the ways of the empire and the unseeming logic of house acoma's attacks. While Janny Wurts carefully pieces together the feelings and actions of Mara, the ruling lady, with ease. This combination creates the unknown splendor of Tsurani and the illustriously lavish places and plots that unfold. A powerful and wonder filled read.
Rating: Summary: The writers establish their new world very effectively Review: This book continues the great tradition of both Raymond A. Feist and Janny Wurts in that they create a new world very effectively and endow it with all the characters that a new world needs. Possibly the only place where they fall down is in making the planet a bit too oriental, with it's notions of honourable suicide and the way the people live. This problem is only a minor annoyance and it still warrants 4 stars.
Rating: Summary: An unmatched window into another culture Review: Wurts and Feist have combined to create the most intriguing character and culture to be found in any genre. The first book in a true trilogy, Daughter of Empire can be read alone...but by its end, you'll be clamoring for the sequel.
Rating: Summary: A Beautiful Book Review: This book is a beautiful start to the series, although self-contained. The world of Kelewan is so well portrayed and the characters so interesting that I find this book quite spellbinding, even on the third reading. It's really a trip into another world.
Rating: Summary: This book rocks!!!!!! Review: The Empire trilogy and Magician are probably Raymond E. Feist's best works. I love the series for it's intrigue and cool plots. It would be brilliant if there would be a sequel series, like the Riftwar and Serpentwar series. A reccomrnded read for any fantsay fan (or even the casual reader).
Rating: Summary: Beyond Addictive! Review: My original copy of this book is so dog-eared and tattered, i have to buy another one. I have read it about 6 times in the last 3 years (as well as the rest of the trilogy) and find Feist's world of Kelawan so realistic i have to give my head a good shake to bring myself back to our world. I really hope these two get together on another series. They make magic together.
Rating: Summary: The rating should be 15 Review: This book is exceptionally good. Read it! It will be the best fantasy book by far, that you have ever had in your hands. In fact, probaly one of the best books of ANY kind that have been printed.
