Review: If you haven't read this series before, now is as good a time as any. The dragons and the riders will fascinate you, as they did me; and once I started reading this series, I could never get too far away from it. I first read the Dragonriders series about 8 years ago, but I still love it. They have an everlasting quality, which will never go out of fashion. And one of the best things about it is that the dragons are brought very much to life, and they have their own thoughts and feelings. You will definitely love them!

Review: This series MADE my high school experience so many years ago. Do yourself a favor and read this trilogy. Many other books in the series are good, but tread with caution when reading her latter-day Pern books -- some are pure dreck. But these three are great, as is All the Weyrs of Pern and the Harperhall series.

Review: One of the best combination of books one will ever read. The story will enthrall you. A good read for anyone who's ever loved Science Fiction or Fantasy. The plot is one a person will become deeply enthralled in the happenings of the characters. This is a book I enjoyed and I hope you will too. Following Lessa in her journey to ruin Fax, ultimately brings her to become the Leader of Pern and one of its greatest heroins ever. Following all the characters along their journies as they love, lose, and find themselves and others is thoroughly enjoying.

I DO NOT USUALLY READ FANTASY NOVELS , AND dragonriders SEEMED TO ME TO BE AS FAR OUT THERE AS ANY BOOK COULD POSSIBLY BE . THANKFULLY , I READ IT ANYWAY . I STARTED IT LATE ONE NIGHT AND WOKE UP EARLY TO FINISH THE LAST OF THE THREE BOOKS . NEEDLESS TO SAY , I ENJOYED IT IMMENSELY . DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE TITLE OR DAUNTED BY THE COVER ART . INSIDE IS A WONDERFUL , SPELLBINDING WORLD FILLED WITH UNFORGETTABLE CHARACTERS , INTRIGUE , AND ROMANCE .I HAVE SINCE READ EVERY OTHER PERN NOVEL AND EVEN MOST OF ANNE MCCAFFREY'S OTHER NOVELS . SHE IS TRULY ONE OF THE MOST TALENTED AND UNDERESTIMATED WRITERS OF OUR TIME . IF YOU HAVE NOT READ AN ANNE MCCAFFREY BOOK YET , WASTE NO MORE TIME LOOKING FOR THE PERFECT NOVEL ; ANY OF HERS' COULD EASILY BE CALLED THAT .

Review: The Dragonriders of Pern books have kept me occupied for ages. They were some of the first fantasy I read, and it gave me a great appreaciation for great writing. I defenitely suggest these books to any, even if you don't like fantasy.
