Rating: Summary: Great for all ages! Review: This book is one of the best I've ever read. I'm 15, and I think all these books are good for teens. The White Dragon realy relates to us. I hope every one will read this book.
Rating: Summary: Totally Fab! Review: I thought this book totally rocked. I'm only thirteen, but I believed it to be exciting and very well written. This is my first Anne McCaffrey book, but if this book is an example of the rest of her books, I definitely have to read them all. It was excellent.
Rating: Summary: The images and feel for the story is astounding! Review: It is an incredible tale of dragons and the precarious state of Pern.McCaffery has a specific style that is, to my mind unparalleled.
Rating: Summary: Good Book(what more can I say. . .) Review: This is a terrific book, even to a lowly 15 year old. I do think that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I found it very interesting and well written. I have recomended it to people who don't like science fiction, and they loved it. Perhaps, to those who did not like it, you like books that blow people up. Don't overlook the other side of things.
Rating: Summary: She is the best writer out there! Review: Her book are wonderful. You read one book and your hooked
Rating: Summary: I love this book. Review: Anne McCaffrey. I have read many of her books and I love them! I say that if anyone ever gives her books less than 4-5 stars they should be removed from earth or shown the light so that all the smart ones live!
Rating: Summary: Uninteristing Series Review: I hope not to offend those who wrote rave reviews, but I have a theory on this. The only people who submit their reviews are those who are going to give the book a high score, because they are interested in the book. I, personally, found the books I read in this series (and that was around five)to be boring and tedious, harping on the same theme over and over again. I was prepetually waiting for the action (constantly referred to) to begin. Sure, there was "implied" action, but nothing that gave me a sense of actually living in the book. Thank you for reading this review.
Rating: Summary: best ever Review: I loved this book as I did all of Anne McCaffrey's books. From Lessa's revenge on Fax until the very end. You must read this and all other 'Pern' books.
Rating: Summary: rather dry, to be honest. Review: Though some people seem to feel that a series being a "classic" makes it somehow inherently better, I feel that there's a lot of material better than the Pern series on the market today. This is a prime example of a series that really shouldn't have been--though the first book, Dragonflight, is an entertaining and worthy read, the sequels are progressively less original, sliding into bland, anticlimactic works that read more like history textbooks than novels. Buy Dragonflight by itself, read that, and skip the rest.
Rating: Summary: ANNA McCAFFERY IS BEST SF WRITER TODAY Review: I HAVE ALL THE DRAGONRIDER OF PERN BOOK.I WOULD NOT TRADE THEM FOR ANY OTHER BOOKS OUT THERE.I GOT HOOK ON McCAFFERY'S BOOK IN INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL.I EVEN HAVE THE COMPANION BOOKS EXCEPT FOR THE PEOPLE OF PERN BOOK.I THINK ANNA McCAFFERY IS THE BEST SF WRITER OUT THERE.
