Rating: Summary: It is a really good book Review: It is a really good book. It kept me interested! It has action, funny parts, mystery, everything. My favorite character is Vilmos. Vilmos always thought his magic was a terrible thing. Its what his people believed but when he meets Xith things change. He has to make a decision stay or leave. He leaves cause he doesnt want anyone else to gt hurt. I just finished Kingdoms and Elves book 3 too!
Rating: Summary: Read #1, go to #2. Don't stop cause #3 is best and #4 is Nex Review: I first heard of this book from my son's English teacher. We decided to give it a try. I'm very glad we did! This was a wonderful book. It had well-developed characters who changed constantly throughout the story (there's now 4 books!) as a result of significant life events. The plot was well-structured, plenty of conflict and suspense to hold our interest, and quite a few surprises that I! was impressed with. You feel as if you know each of the characters and can feel all of the emotions that they are experiencing. The story is very believable. I highly recommend this book and the others in the series.
Rating: Summary: Kingdoms and Elves vs Lord of the Rings Review: I am always reading fantasy and I loved this book! Everyone is comparing it to the Lord of the Rings series. I don't think that. I love both equally. This book (and the ones that follow) stand on their own merits. They are wonderful, a good read for all!
Rating: Summary: just a so so story Review: I expected more from this ultimately flat and uninvolving novel. Any good fantasy obliges the writer to convincingly create a different world. Sadly the required imagination wasn't in evidence here.
Rating: Summary: Take a trip to Ruin Mist!!! Review: This book in particular was very well written. Robert Stanek made everytying so interesting that I couldn't get my nose out of the book. I've read this book two times so far. Right now I'm reading the second book again. I can't wait until the fourth book comes out. The good things I've noticed about all the Ruin Mist books is that they always make you want to read the other books. I love it in the third book when Vilmos visits the mouth of the world! He turned into my favorite character beating out Adrina. He is so caring and curious about everything. I swear I was about to cry when he almost died. I guess what I really want to say is that I LOVE Ruin Mist!!!
Rating: Summary: An amazing work of fantasy Review: After finishing The Hobbit I was recommended this book by my teacher. Mr. Stanek does a wonderful job of keeping the magic alive through the entire story. It leaves you wanting more. I'm going to read all the next books! Read and enjoy. MT, Mr. Green, 5th Grade
Rating: Summary: I LOVE THESE BOOKS Review: I'm not a big reader. It takes a lot for me to like a book and I love the whole Kingdoms and Elves series! It has a lot of adventure, Robert Stanek writes with such good description of everything, you just fall in love with the characters. It's amazing and I definetly recommend it to everybody! ...
Rating: Summary: This was a great book to get hooked on!! Review: This book was a great and wonderful book. Robert Stanek is an amazing writer. He brings Vilmos and his friends to life. You cannot stop reading about these adventures! I definetly recomend this book. I didn't think that I would like it, but I read this book and now I am HOOKED!!
Rating: Summary: One of the worst fantasy novels ever written! Review: ... I read part of this book and was astounded at the paper-thin characterizations and lame plot. The book wasn't even properly edited, it had numerous typos and grammatical errors. Buy virtually ANY other fantasy novelist's work and you'll be much better off.
