Summary: This is one the Best X-Wing books.
Review: The only things that this book lacks is Corran Horn, otherwise it's perfect. I also suggest I, Jedi which is a continuation of Corran Horn's story.

Summary: Beautiful!
Review: This book totally rocked! I loved the interactions (especially the humor) between Wedge and the other pilots and liked how Allston shaped the plot to include personal elements. I also loved the soul/moral-grappeling Wedge had to deal with and how he found a way through those tough questions. Definately one of my fav. x-wing books so far! Keep it up!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I hope there is a sequel
Review: This book is much too short. That's the only thing wrong with it. I really wanted more. More dogfights, more interactions between Wedge and the guys, more Rogues dealing with Adumari, more Adumari, and a lot more Wedge and you know who.

Allston's X-wing stories always capture that great Star Wars feeling, and this book is no exception. There are some great insights on the SWU. Ever wonder why Imp ships have such nasty names? Allston gives us Luke's explanation. Every wonder how Wedge and Tycho can fly and fight as well as the Force-filled Luke and Corran? Allston tells us about that too.
Allston skillfully blends the old familiar characters with some great new people. Never enough Wes or Hobbie in the other books? Plenty here. Looking for female characters that are intelligent, tough, and REAL? Allston adds two great new ones and does a splendid job with Iella Wessiri. There are no super weapons, no evil Vader/Palpatine clones for villains. Just four pilots, doing what their leaders ask them to do, using their skills, wit, and intuition (and a little help from some friends).

A well written, well thought out story that every Star Wars fan should read. A great book. But too short! Is there a sequel? There should be.

Summary: allston is a great writer of the x-wing series!
Review: i so enjoyed the other x-wing series books written by aaronallston. i looked forward to the release of book #9 simply because itwas written by allston. he puts great humor into the characters of these pilots. and it's about time that wedge finally feels connected to someone. i often wondered what became of his relationship with qwi. and now i know ... another great book. well done!

Summary: Another good x-wing book
Review: For those of you who liked the Rogue Squadron books, you will like this one as well. The characters from Allston's earlier books on Wraith squadron aren't here; neither are any other Star Wars or Rogue Squadron character except Wedge, Hobby, Tycho, Wes and Iella. (Some interesting new ones, of course) But the action scenes, battle scenes, etc., are very well done and will hold everyone's interest. We also see the end of the blue-faced girl (I'm not telling anything here, as that's at the very beginning of the book). Good riddance there. Now if someone will just write another book for those of us who really liked the Wraiths, and tie up those loose ends!

Summary: A must read whether or not you've ever read an X-wing book!
Review: Warning: This book will cause insomnia (due to the fact that you can't put it down!). I love the X-wing books and this one is definately one of the best! We finally get to see what happens with Wedge (both his personal and professional life) between Isaard's Revenge and The Hand of Thrawn. There's plenty of action, romance, humor, suspense, and much more. It's got everything you can ask for in a book and is definately a part of the Star Wars Universe! It answers alot of questions and ties up many loose ends, and if you've never read any of the Star Wars/X-wing books this one'll probably get you hooked! It's nice to see some substantial character development and get to "know" Wedge a little better. All in all this is a great book and well worth the read (I've had it for 36 hours and am already starting to read it again!)!

Summary: Loved it!!!
Review: I LOVED this book! I think it's the best Star Wars book I've read so far! And it was much easier to follow with just four main characters, who just happen to be my favorites. I loved the humor, the romance, the battles, everything about it! I really like the gauntlet scene, and the way they handle challenges. 5 stars!!!

Summary: Another X-Wing Winner
Review: If it is one thing that this has better than X-wing bk 8, It is a major dose of comic relief. Wes Janson is the core of the novel in that respect, but in all other way's this is Wedge's novel. It expands on his life, love, beliefs, and his character at large. I really wasn't sure if after 8 books and 30 odd X-Wing Comics if Wedge could take much more exposition, but he sure can. While the events of this book may not be as epic as taking Coruscant, Hunting Zinj and Iceheart, and generally making the universe safe, it does not lack in any way action, adventure, suspense, you name it. It really makes me hope for more Allston work in the furture of Star Wars. Also, for fans of the Comics, there is a really cool cameo of Baron Fel's wingman, Phennir.

Summary: Great book! I'd give it 100 stars but the max is five.
Review: Aaron Allston has done it again! The story is mostly centered around General Wedge Antilles. It begins when General Cracken sends Wedge on a diplomatic mission to the remote world of Adumar. Living there is a group of humans who pretty much worship pilots and honor. The book is loaded with plenty of action along with comic relief from Major Wes Janson.

Summary: Allston does it again,
Review: If there was anyone who could hold up this X-Wing SeriesBesides Stackpole Allston is the guy.Like with Wraith squadron (WhichI enjoyed immensely as well) this story has it all, love, danger, excitement and humor. Alot of loose ends are tied up here, though a few more still remain <poor Gavin> I seriously hope there are more of these books coming out. The book mainly centers on wedge but brings along a great supporting cast, Wes Janson, Derek "Hobbie" Kilivan and Tyco celchu. Also, it's about time wedge got some action besides in a cockpit.. <You'll know what I mean when you read it> A Great book and very worthy of 5 stars. I only have one complaint. The story is only 291 pages. I WANT MORE!
