Rating: Summary: A masterpice of fantasy Review: I just recently read this book, and let me tell you its terrific! I love how the author interweaves all the characters together and how she just keeps the suprises coming, even at the end. I cant wait for another installement in this series. I hope it wont be long before another one comes out. see ya!
Rating: Summary: A great, great book! Review: I recommend reading the first other two great books first to understand the story. I totally recommend this book its the greatest. Its a great build up to the next book and if you hate cliff hangers don't read this until the next book comes out. Happy Reading!
Rating: Summary: Worth the trip... Review: It is definetly worth the trip up to Barnes & Nobles. I can't afford the hardcover, but I couldn't wait for the paperback to come out so for the past week I have been making trips to Barnes & Nobles just to read this book. So far I am about 450 pages in and it is great. Elliot never ceases to amaze me. I love Sanglant! And I can't wait for Liath to find her power and finally put the "smack-down" on Hugh.
Rating: Summary: There is good potential . . . buried very deeply here. Review: By the time G(h)ent is retaken, the reader feels like he/she has been wearing "Frater" Agius's hairshirt [for Daisan's sake!] in a sauna. (One also realizes why the real Agius was poisoned by his fellow "biscop"). In short, unlike the novel, this would be a great yarn if only Eliot realized that excessive theology bypasses versimillitude and produces a laxative effect.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful Book Review: I love this book. This is one of the few series that I have read that still keeps up the momentum in it's first book. But this book.
Rating: Summary: TWO WORDS - UTTERLY AWESOME! Review: The Burning Stone is a great book that is full of action and excitement. I received the book that very first day in the mail, ripped open the packaging and started reading. And to tell you the truth, the only time I put it down is when I'm in class, when I'm sleeping, eating, showering or playing softball. The rest of the time I read and reread it! And to tell you the absolute truth, get all of the Crown of Stars books because they are fully satisfying and exciting.
Rating: Summary: excellent but a little long winded at times Review: I enjoyed this book tremendously it had a good pace and did a good job of clarifying who was related to who. some of the chapters were a bit tedious but you have got to read the directions to understand the work.
Rating: Summary: My gosh, what a tome! Review: When the mail came that day, I ripped the package open and dived into the book head-first. I wasn't disappointed--far from it!--but I will admit to having even more questions than I did when I finished the first two novels. Were Liath's parents actually brother and sister? What and who are the Bwr people? What on earth are the Aoi really up to? All these and more have been pestering me unmercifully. Kate Elliott has set herself a gargantuan task in untangling all of the threads in the series and bringing it to a logical conclusion. Fortunately, she's demonstrated that she's well up to the job. I'll be waiting eagerly to see just how she does it.
Rating: Summary: Joke's on you! Review: This enormous novel is the work up to one great joke...and the punch line is, "Ha ha, you just bought me a vacation home in Vermont!" I actually read this book in 3-4 sittings at Barnes & Noble because it is not worth spending money on. I was 300 pages into the novel when I realized that I could skip entire chapters and I would still understand the entire book! Utterly horrible and contemptible! Nothing...NOTHING happens in this book! Go buy Readers Digest, it's much more fun. This is almost as bad as a Terry Goodkind novel!. The worst thing is that the first book held so much promise. Ms. Elliot obiously has Michael Crichton syndrome: Starts off a book/series great, but can't finish for her life.
Rating: Summary: great Review: iloved the first two books in the series and i loved this one just as much i can't wait till the next one comes out to see how it all ends
