Summary: Very Well Written Book
Review: I, Jedi By Micheal A. Stackpole I, Jedi is a book about a Rogue Squadron pilot who goes to a Jedi Academy to find his wife who has participated in a movement against the remnants of the now fallen Empire. At the Academy, he gets involved in mysteries and interactions with ghastly creatures. He leaves the academy out of anger against Luke Skywalker and goes on a man-hunt for his wife . But, along the way, he is forced with challenges. Will he turn to the Dark Side or die? This is a very good book. Stackpole takes a big leap by going first-person in the Star Wars universe. But, surprisingly it works. Good characters and first-person make this a top-notch book. The only problem is that sometimes I found myself slipping away in interest and felt asleep a few times on it. Overall a very good book and I would recommend it.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: An interesting view of the Jedi academy trilogy. A must read
Review: This book has to be one of if not the best Star Wars books I've ever read. Stackpole puts us into the mind of Corran Horn in a different way as compared to the first four and last of the X-Wing Series books. The first-person perspective was a very good touch. Stackpole brought in at least one of the main, main characters (i.e. Luke, Leia, Han) which I found to be the only defect, although Han was at the beginning of the book he did not play a major role in the plot. Overall I think this book deserves alll of the five stars I gave it.

Summary: This is a great book!
Review: In this book, Coran Horn from Rogue Squadron sets off on a quest to rescue his wife, Mirax, from the clutches of thew Invids. This booktakes you to Luke's Praxeum, or Jedi Academy, through several squadrons, and the heart of the Invids.

Summary: A new perspective
Review: Ok, think "Zorro" meets "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" in a galaxy far, far away...... I'ts beautiful!! It's classic!! Even if you don't like Corran you will like this book. Even though it takes place during the Jedi Academy Trilogy, it doesn't seem redundant. Like the "Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina/Jabba's Palace" it presents a different perspective... a different point of view if you will. And that's just half the book! Don't read the cover synopsis- it will tell you nothing about what really happens.

Summary: A good book w/ some flaws
Review: When I started reading I, Jedi, I really liked the first person perspective and I generally liked the character, Corran Horn. Unfortunately, as the book went on, Corran became so much of an annoyance that I almost wanted to stop reading. I didn't really like the way that Mr. Stackpole made Corran out to be so powerful and smart ALL the time. Even worst than that was the way Stackpole made Luke Skywalker such an indecisive weakling w/ no confidence whatsoever. The only thing that saves this book from being thrown in the garbage pile next to The Crystal Star was the action in the end. Only read this book if you really like Star Wars or you really like Corran Horn

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Keeps the Jedi spirit alive...
Review: A must read. Corran finds info about his heritage, possibly more than he bargained for. This book is a comprehensive journal of the going-ons at the Jedi Praxeum. Corran leaves the Praxeum prematurely and faces the dark side on his own. Luke searches him out and together battle a hoard of dark Jedi.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Does not matter
Review: At firstI didn't like this book, because it was firstyperson and it wasn't like all of the X-Wing series where the writor was god viewing everybody and telling you what they were doing in that time. But in the end it was a good book!
