Summary: Loses the idea behind Doom...
Review: I remember reading this book when I was about 14 years old, I bought it the moment it came out. That was about 6 years ago. Looking back on it, I recall that it was confusing and convoluted, so I picked it up again recently. My opinion hasn't changed a bit.

Completely departing from the very basic principle behind Doom, this book continues the off-the-wall plot of Infernal sky, taking our two main heroes into outer space, under the care of two alien beings called 'Sears and Roebuck', a stab at humor that works, but dumbs down the premise. It turns out the 'demons' on earth are just weapons of a malevolent alien race that is at war with 'Sears and Roebuck's' own species, and humanity got caught in the middle by triggering the 'demon gate' on mars.

In terms of the actual writing, I don't know whether the book is written for kids, or young adults, but it certainly seems a little too basic for adults. In any case, I feel that the essence of Doom is lost in Infernal Sky and EndGame. This novel ends abruptly, strangely, and makes very little sense in the end. Where some find it to be an interesting new twist on Doom, I find it to be a confusing and convoluted book that is poorly written and ill-conceived. Its entertaining, i'll give it that...but it ruins the essence of Doom. Going from Hellspawned demons to alien creations? That just doesn't cut it for me, sorry. If it had stuck to the way Doom was intended, maybe it would've worked.

Review: I think the entire series is awsome, but I gave endgame only 4 stars because the ending didn't make any sense.

Summary: Suberb space opera
Review: I truely enjoyed ENDGAME and encourage anyone with a love for si-fi/war novels to read this superb book and its predisesors. However I found the ending a bit disapointing and hope that more books are added to the DOOM saga.

Summary: Doom series rocks!
Review: I've read all 4 books in the series, and I loved each one... it isn't exactly Doom (as in Just like the game) It's making a story behind Doom.. it's well worth the buy.. and if you can find infernal sky, order the first 2, and read them in sequence! THat's about it..

Summary: Dude, Where's My Ending?
Review: Now don't get me wrong, I LOVED the first two pieces of this story, the third was kind of weak but I still proverbially "bought" the storyline. However this last chapter in the saga has left me reeling! The glaring plot holes alone were enough to drive me halfway insane (I can't stress this plot hole issue enough). The tired dialogue and increasing lack of explaination or descriptions became a nuisance, leaving the reader with a sense of hurry up and wait. The storyline itself went further into the tangent that took it from merely fantastic deep into the realm of absurd. I really couldn't wait to finish this series but now, after putting down this last chapter in the series, I feel I have been cheated out of a good ending to the fantastic and compelling story of some of my favorite literary heros!

Summary: Last installment of the DOOM series to be remebered.
Review: Once read, you will have to realise that ENDGAME is truly a masterpeice of its own. Unlike other action novels, where characters run around shooting unimagninably big guns and quoting lines ripped straight from a John Wayne, ENDGAME focuses on the fears and concerns of what is probably the last two marines alive.

Contradicting the common belief that marines are macho and cool under fire, this focuses on the lives of two marines that, having nowhere else to go, decide to take their battle to the very reason that earth was ravaged. Not to the pits of hell, but to the inky blackness of space. Due to the distance in space, Time on earth continues to move on while for the marines, time slows down. They realise this, and understand that when they get back to earth, an entire mellinium would hasve passed, while they barely aged. the fear and anxietuy they expiriance is believable, while the thoughts of, "Is there still an Earth?" and, "Does America still exist." And Sargeant Flynn Taggarts concern of whether or not the USMC still exist is quickly dwarfed by the numerous, bigger problems that present themselves. Religion, unexpectanly, is also introduced on several occasions. In fact, one of Flynns anxietys, the product of an over-active imagination, would be that when they got back to earth, the Rapture would have happened, and they would see the holy one seated at his throne, wondering where they have been all this time.

Fear, anxiety, courage, honor, sense of commitment, pratriotism, and the reason for survival all present themselves in what would be a surprising conclusion to the game phenomenom that is DOOM.

Summary: ENDGAME is one of the best books to come along in its time
Review: Quote from book, "Has been it a slice, " said the pair of Magilla Gorillas. Without another word, they turned left and strode off, marching in unison, subvocalizing all the way to each other. They dissappeared around a tall ancient-looking column that supported a statue of what looked like Brigham Young, and we never say Sears and Roebuck again. I think I slept for twelve or fourteen hours. I awoke to a brave new world that had such @#^%!& peculiar creatures in it! The End...?

This was the best book in the DOOM series ever. I enjoyed reading it many times and I hope you do to!
