Rating: Summary: Too much Review: The last in the series was a bit of a disappointment to this X-File fan. Anyone who watches that show can guess a goodly part of the conclusion for this series. While the first book, Area-51 was excellent and the second almost as good, I've found each of the following installments failed to meet the mark. Constant reference to the characters as part of the Arthurian legend demeaned their importance to the plot as a whole. Further, the superfluous description of violence also lowered my appreciation of this latest entry. It is a must read for anyone who has invested in the tale to date but be prepared for a less than satisfactory experience.
Rating: Summary: Not Half Bad Review: The strong point of the series, and this book as well, is that the author works interesting tidbits of history and science into the novel. The book is sort of like a ufological Tom Clancy novel in that respect.Read this book and you will learn about Nikola Tesla, volcanoes and Easter Island. On the other hand, this book is a lot harder to follow than the original novel which set off this series. I found myself skimming the endless action involving the aliens and lingering on the interesting passages. There are a number of well-written scenes with vivid imagery, such as the frozen mountain climbers on a ledge. I will probably read other books in this series, especially if I am at an airport looking for something to read on a flight. Just don't expect to find literature equal to that of Ray Bradbury or Asimov in this series. That is not its purpose.
Rating: Summary: An excellent end to a great series!!! Review: The truth is finally upon us...nearly 6 years after the first of the Area 51 series, we have been blessed with the final piece of the puzzle. An excellent read for those into science fiction.
