Summary: Lots of blood, less guts and lots and lots of gore
Review: I read the whole series and I'm glad it finally ended. The bloody scenes with Lisa and the removal of her body parts were way over the top.
Never did find out exactly what the disc in Mike Turcotte's head is all about.
Lots of fun ideas but the whole series could have "fleshed" out the characters a bit more and left out so much gore.

Summary: Great bit of fun!
Review: I've followed and enjoyed all of the Area 51 stories! Everyone one of these stories kept my attention from page to page.

Summary: A Good Ending To The Series...
Review: I've read every one of these books since they started with the original Area 51. Robert Doherty (aka Bob Mayer) does a good job of reminding me in every book what happened in the previous ones. This being the seventh and last book in the series, does an excellent job of closing the whole story of Mike Turcotte's valiant efforts to save the world. And at the end, when The Truth is revealed, it's not too much of a surprise, the books have been leaking the information the entire time. Thanks, Bob, for these past few years...

Review: If you liked Steven Spielberg's Sci-Fi mini-series "Taken", you'll absolutely love this series!

Summary: Satisfying Conclusion To Area 51 Series
Review: It was a daunting task to wrap up all 7 books in the series, but Bob managed to do it quite nicely. Yes, the book was too short and seemed rushed at points -- like he had to meet the publisher's deadline, or something. But it was, nonetheless, an enjoyable and fast-paced read. As for the new Area 51 series, "Nosferatu", I think I'll start something different. I had a good experience with these books (except for The Mission), and I'll leave it at that. Thanks again, Bob, for the fun.

Summary: loaded with action
Review: Many of the stories about AREA 51 are true including the fact that an alien mothership was found in a Groom Mountain Cavern with directions to the locations of nine smaller ships. The area was quarantined and labeled top secret with all information concerning the alien artifact run by a black-ops committee Majestic 12. Millennium ago aliens known as the Airlia came to earth and lived on the now destroyed island of Atlantis.

When the second wave of Airlia landed on earth, the two groups made war with each other with the humans who lived among them totally unaware of their presence. Now it is known that aliens walks among us and they are not friends of the humanity. Earth is devoting all of her resources to expel the invaders as well as a second alien the Swarm who harvest and destroy whole worlds. Mankind wants to be free to find it's own destiny and not be ruled by creatures that don't have our best interests at heart.

Many of the legends that been paced down through time including the Ark, Excalibur, Atlantis and the Holy Grail all have to do with the shadow war that the aliens have been fighting. AREA 51: THE TRUTH is loaded with action but short on characterizations as the character serve as symbols rather than three-dimensional people. Still those readers who enjoy an adrenaline rush of excitement will relish this story line. Robert Doherty adds to the myths surrounding Area 51.

Summary: Finally....The Truth.
Review: Ok, It's been awhile since I read the last book in this series. Luckily, the author has taken that into account. He manages to bring things up to date while your reading. It may be a little too much background info, especially for those who just finished the last one...but, I found it very helpful.

Things really start wrapping themeselves up in The Truth. It bothered me a little that so many loose ends were left dangling in all the other books, and I was afraid it was gonna end with me talking to myself..."huh??" But, explanations were given, loose ends explained...and things actually made sense.

Because all the differing stories were coming to an end, this may not have been quite as exciting and "edge-of-your-seat" as some of the others in the series. But a great read nevertheless...I like real closure in things. Why the X-Files series always drove me nuts. Great stories, good characters...but always left you with that "huh?" at the end :-)

We finally understand the real relationship between Artad and Aspasia (always get these confused, too many names sound alike in these books Artad, Aspasia, Aralia). We discover the history of Aralia, and learn much more about this enigmatic "swarm." There is actually a Swarm character in this book that gives you some insight into who, and what they are.

We find out more of the history of the conflict between the Aralia, and the Swarm...and why both species are here. Also, how they got here in the first place. We are told the motivations and reasoning for Aralia being on earth (an interesting twist btw). There is also a new sub-plot introduced in this book, involving Lisa Duncan and Mike Turcotte, that added a needed "something extra" to this book. I won't tell you what it is...but, things are not what they seem with those two.

Anyway, it was a good read...and it's nice to finally know.."The Truth." The Earth is safe from the Aralia and the Swarm....for now. But, does it really end???

Here's a preview, given at the end, of Doherty's new book (no name given):

"My name is Donnchadh. I have fought the gods in other places." The woman said. "I am here to help, that should be enough for you"

Nosferatu put a hand out, stopping her. "Tell me more about the Gods, why do they need to do this..." He lightly touched the shunt in his neck.

"Their alien blood has..." she seemed to search for the right word..."something in it that keeps them alive, but it requires food...your blood. Since you are half-breeds your blood has some of this in it also, which is why you have lived longer than a human would."

"I am immortal?" Nosferatu had shied away from that possibility, because it meant he would spend an eternity chained to the wall.

"No. But, if you drink human blood to feed the alien part of you...and don't get drained by them of any more of what you have...you can live a very, very long time"

Summary: Buckle up!
Review: Strap yourself in before you start reading this book! The action develops quickly and keeps at a furied pace all the way through. All the blanks are filled in as you learn "The Truth".
The author ties it all together pretty well. I liked the book, it is a good read and it was a nice ending to the series.
