Rating: Summary: Weis and Hickman once again shine! Review: This book is a marvelous ending to a fantastic trilogy. Your heart falls into the book from the beginning, wondering if Raistlin will succeed or if Caramon and Tas will get there in time. Suberbly written, just as the first two books, each character continues to develop and grow. The fate of the world hangs in the balance as three of the Heroes of the Lance try to stop their dark friend from becoming a god. They gain suprizing allies and enemies, wait till you see what Tas has in his pouches. All I have left to say is Fantastic...a must read.
Rating: Summary: A dramatic ending to a thrilling trilogy Review: In Legends Trilogy I learned much more about the characters than in the Chronicles Trilogy and I began to think of them more as real people with many thoughts, feelings, and shortcomings instead of just the Superheros out to save the world that they seemed before. I saw a little bit more of Caramon's vunerable side, Raistlin's evil side, and Tas's caring side than I ever had in Chronicles. Legends didn't have quite as much action, however, and went on more in the minds of the characters than Chronicles did. In Test of the Twins Caramon is finally able to let go of Raistlin and Raistlin sacrifices himself in a way that makes me wonder if he is good, evil, neutural, average, or misunderstood. It's not the best book I've ever read or even the best Dragonlance book I've ever read, but It was so exciting that I couldn't put it down and I think that it deserves five stars.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful! A must read! Review: I started with the Chronicles when I was 15. Until now it has been a monthly affair to pick the books up and read parts of it again & again. I managed to buy the collector's editions for both the Chronicles & Legends so I can read any part of it anytime.Test Of The Twins moved me to tears especially the end when Raistlin finally found a shred of goodness & sacrificed himself to save the world. At the very end when the Queen Of Darkness takes Raistlin, seeking his soul, but instead Raistlin was protected from her by his brother's arms and rabbits made by Caramon's hands. That really made me cry to see the love, despite Raistlin evil nature, that bond the two brothers together. And Caramon too finally realised that he has a path to walk. Yet he knows no matter what he and Raistlin will be linked forever. There are so many lessons taught in the Legends trilogy. From the kender to Lady Crysania to Caramon, all learnt something at the end of the adventure or quest. Raistlin too learnt that he is not invincible. This book ends the Legends, though there are lots of unexplained stuff. On the whole this makes you want to read it again & again.
Rating: Summary: the best Review: when i read it i was in awe. it was a magnificant book. the best one i have read so far. a must read
Rating: Summary: Still not disappoinated. Review: Test of the Twins, was another terrific book written by two of the greatest authors I have ever read. I was first introduce to these authors by the first book in The Chronicles series, Dragons of Autumn Twilight, and I thought there could never be another series to match that one. I was wrong, the Legends trilogy, dare I say, surppassed the Chronicles. Here you are in another adventage with the twins, Carmon and Raistlin, and the irrepressable kender, Tasslehoff. Now, in this book it's the last and finale showdown between the twins. This book has everything a good book should have drama, comedy, terror, and ... love? This is a wonderful book in a long line of great books. In closeing all I have to say is Weis and Hichman, keep it going.
Rating: Summary: Weiss and Hickman proved to be briliant writers once again. Review: The book (Test of the Twins) is the last of the Legends Trilogy, and definately one of the best Dragonlance books. It is the last book of the twin's History (not counting The Dragons of Summer Flame). The Begining of the epic story started in the book: Soulforge, written by Margaret Weiss. This book was a pleasure to read. I really suggest it *the entire legends trilogy) to all Dragonlance fans. Of course, for the full enjoyment I suggest you read the Dragonlance books in the following order: 1) Soulforge, 2)Brothers in arms, 3) Chronicles trilogy, 4) Legends Trilogy, 5) Dragons of Summer Flame. One book is sequil to another in the order they are written above. I suggest you buy all of them. Great books indeed. All of the books were written by Margaret Weis. Most of the books were written by Margaret Weis and co written by Tracy Hickman. The Soulforge was written by margaret Weis alone, and Brothers in Arms was written by Margaret Weis and Don Perrin.
Rating: Summary: Great book Review: From Raistlin's visions of his childhoods while in the Abyss to Caramon's final view of his brother through the portal, Test of the Twin is dripping with the best and most moving writing there is. With Raistlin's ambition, Caramon's love, Crysiana's faith, Tanis's good natured frustration with Tasslehoff and Lord Soth's lust for Kitiara's soul, this book has the best characters I have ever had the honor of reading about. This book moves me so much, that when Raistlin fell asleep, hearing Caramon say "Look Raist, bunnies" I put the book down and cried out of joy and sadness... a must read book!
Rating: Summary: Tears Review: This book is touching. I have a brother myself. Not a twin, but a brother. It was nighttime. I cannot describe my feelings when i was at the end of the book. I cried. I cried myself to sleep. My feelings were so strong. I can't explain my reaction better than this. I just cried
Rating: Summary: I enjoyed it Review: I have read it several times - but I must say - who liked the original covers a WHOLE lot better!
Rating: Summary: BRILLIANT!!! Review: Strength holds us up. Courage pushes us forward. But it is imagination that lights the way. An excellent book.
