Summary: meh, I wasn't that impressed.
Review: The adventure of Gotrek and Felix starts here, where their rippin' through the bodies of choas and orcs alike and the author doesn't take long to throw you in with the action. Gotrek, an trollslayer (which is a badass dwarf warrior) who is looking for a glorious death in battle and Felix, a human poet you promises gotrek, (while he was drunk) to record his story or his, "death saga."

I have been a fan of warhammer and 40k for a while and read several other black library books, in which I extremely enjoyed them. So after reading those books I wanted more of the warhammer world and I heard a lot of good things about the gotrek and Felix novels, so I decided to pick trollslayer up. I don't know if it was the hype and my high expectations of trollslayer, but I didn't think it was all that great. first off I don't really like short-stories, and this book written in a short story format, so I didn't like that. Most of the stories were pretty boring and didn't have a lot of excitement or thrilling adventure. I thought the first couple of stories were a hell of a lot better than the ones he ended with.

Trollslayer was an o.k. book, I would recommend other books in the black library range, but a lot of other people would think otherwise. so you could take my word or take somebody else's, when it really comes down to it, do you care what I think? Really?

Summary: Trollslayer
Review: The book is easy to read yet deep too. The plot and characters are easy to follow yet they are not shallow. It was hard to find a boring part in this book. Each chapter is worth the plot of a separate novel. One of the best fighting fantasy books I've read and I've been reading fantasy since Robert E. Howard.

Summary: a great and stunning book
Review: Trollslayer was one of the best books i have ever read. The plot was intense and the charachters are described in vivid detial. Although a collection of short stories, i found them all breathtaking and very intresting. William king has done it again!

Summary: Utterly Enjoyable
Review: Usually I am a pretty hard man to please with fantasy and sci-fi novels. With this book, I was not only satisfied with the writing but I often found myself laughing out loud or even gripping the pages tight with suspense. Being a fan of the Warhammer universe I really enjoyed reading the stories.

I highly recommend this book to you if you like action-fantasy and/or the world of Warhammer. It's non-pretentious as a lot of self-aggrandizing authors are lately. It's just good, old-fashioned mutant skull breaking.

Summary: Great Fantasy Story ...Sword and Sorcery Ride Again!
Review: With talented writers like this....you really have to wonder why Games Workshop continues to "borrow" themes from other writers, history, etc! A great series of short stories...I can't wait to read the other two books in the series! Whether you're a R.E. Howard or a Tolkien fan...you will enjoy this book!
